He's right though. I AM jealous. This guy probably bangs skanks while doing 115 on his sick crotch rocket, all the while popping wheelies and slamming down Jack Daniels.

A Corvette gets up to 60 mph in around 4-4.5 seconds. Why don't all the people I see on the highway driving Corvettes do 100+ everywhere they go?

That may be true, but I think what everyone is trying to say is that it would be a horrible shame if the guy were to wreck and kill someone other than himself. Most RESPONSIBLE and RESPECTABLE people would do that in a secluded place not on city streets.

I don't think anyone really gives two shits if this guy dies. He's a free BOY and can do what he wants.

Personally, if I had a crotch rocket I'd go over 100 too, but I'd be as responsible as I could about it...and I think most people would probably say the same thing.

There are some states where it is legal for the bikers to go between the other traffic and move to the front of the line, some states it isn't.

These are pictures from a motorcycle accident last week on Highway 169 here in Tulsa. The guy was going over 125 mph around 2 am when he hit the back of the Yellow truck. The truck was going normal speed and did not know what had happened. He was drug approx a mile before the truck stopped. Highway 169 is known for late night speed driving and trick driving of motorcycles.

I agree. Maybe I missed something but I didn't see that he was doing this in prime time traffic weaving in and out of cars. I think we have all seen a lot of idiots on motorcycles before. Being responsible about it is the key. There are a lot of public roads where you could do this without putting anyone else at risk. Even on my last harley trip we were frequently over 90. A bunch of deer slowed me down a little.

Actually, if you read below the pictures, his friend was killed a week after.
Quote:

A few inaccuracies have crept into the text accompanying forwarded versions of these pictures. A 2008 variant carried the closing legend "He lived. Wear your helmet!", but unfortunately Brandon Lee did not survive the accident despite his wearing a helmet. Also, the friend of Brandon's who "was killed 1 week before this on his motorcycle going 120+ on Highway 169" referenced in the second example above was 21-year-old Devin Seigal, who was killed in a similar motorcycle accident five days after Brandon's death (and had, in fact, attended Brandon's funeral).

I say "Ban it". I have a brother in the ground due to this shite Cali crap. Use a F'n lane or go ride in the desert. Bikes riding between cars and not in a lane is incredibly dangerous. As if riding a bike in Cali isn't dangerous already due to idiot drivers in cars.

WOW. Sorry to hear about your brother. At stoplights it's actually safer as you don't get rear ended. As far as gridlock traffic is concerned the only thing that makes it dangerous is the typical road rage Mr. Wheeler that doesn't want anyone passing him. I am not sure what the desert thing is all about.

No shit? I would have never guessed this is legal anywhere. Seems somewhat unsafe to me. People have enough problems paying attention to the car in the lane next to them, let alone motorcycles zipping in between them at a higher prevailing speed.

I remember the fuckers screaming past lanes of stopped traffic on I-90 in Sacramento. How that can't be considered dangerous is beyond me. It's also rude and annoying as hell. They don't let you do that at regular speed. I want to say traffic has to be moving 20 MPH or slower to be legal but don't hold me to that number.

The motorcyclists that cause the biggest problem by far are the rookies on their shiney new Hyabusa's.

Truth be know bicyclists are a much bigger problem here.

At least Brandon was wearing his helmet. That probably helped, as it was the last thing that went through his mind.
