What a disappointment. I would have rather kept Cassel and rolled the dice on a QB in the first round...though I never believed the Chiefs would actually do that. This is definitely the safe move for Reid, Hunt, Dorsey, and the Chiefs. If it bombs it is on Smith. If they had gambled on a first round QB that would be on the three MUSTketeers.

I bet Cassel goes on to be a sucess elsewhere. I will LMAO.

Getting into the playoffs is the key, if you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. In today's NFL, if you don't have a QB that can step up and make plays against legitimate playoff defenses that can bring pressure, you have no shot at advancing to the SB.

Alex Smith ensures 5 years, or more, of mediocrity.

Playoffs, get bounced, lather, rinse, repeat.

**** mediocrity, and then shove right up into your mediocre loving ass.

Alex Smith seems like a Lateral move because if you had to pick one NFL QB that was like another Alex and Matt would top my list.
