Also, they'll have a spot "Road to Camp: Chiefs" before his interview.

*we feel we can be the best secondary in the league

*we want to win the superbowl

*Smiff won't tell you, but he came in with a chip on his shoulder

Good god, NFL AM is horrible. What the **** was I just watching?

aturnis 07-10-2013 11:47 AM

Sounds like he's pretty excited about the new defense. Says the emphasis on getting to the quarterback and jamming receivers at the line to mess up timing should be great for the defensive backs. Also thinks they have the pieces to have one of the best secondaries in the NFL. Not sure I agree with that.

Also said the offensive players seem to love Andy Reid's new offense. Alex Smith has a chip on his shoulder(he ****ing better, asshole). Says when a defender makes a play on one of his passes, Alice is talking to them about how they recognized the play, read him and basically trying to figure out how to get better with each mistake.

Because what you don't know, is why you don't agree. Sean Smith, and Dunta Robinson, came from teams who didn't blitz much. They relied on basic pressure from their front four. And outside of Abraham, the Falcons didn't have a pass rush at all. And any cb, no matter how good he is, cant cover forever. Sean Smith is a big physical corner, who was asked a lot to play zone cover 4. In this system he is going to be able to use his size, and get up into receivers at the line of scrimmage, and run a man technique that he is good at. Don't believe Clays bullshit about the numbers. Numbers lie when you aren't used to your strengths. Both Robinson, and Smith are man corners who like to be physical. They will play perfect in Suttons offense. Are they going to give up plays, of course they will. Its a pass driven league with all the rules bent towards giving the receivers the advantage. But, they are going to come up with critical stops and turnovers enough to make their pick ups worth it.

Stop being positive, this is ChiefsPlanet, we don't do that around here.

This is going to be epic Hoov - in two weeks the fluff pieces from training camp start, then by the time of the week 1 crushing defeat, to the ****ing Jags, this place will be a train wreck just like the last several years.
