RB and WR looks solid.

QB..... you're gonna need to do a trade

L.A. Chieffan 08-18-2014 11:30 PM

Where do you live in So Cal?

CaliforniaChief 08-18-2014 11:38 PM

Antelope Valley...

Looks good except for QB and Defense.

Hoover 08-19-2014 01:16 PM

I play in a strange league
We have a offensive player position which allows you to start 2 qbs if you want.
Players also get the any return yardage they may get.
QBs only get 4 pts per TD pass
1 pt for every 5 receptions.

My team, drafted 11th out of 12

QB: Tom Brady
RB: Lacy
RB2: Mathews
WR: AJ Green
WR2: Parcon
WR3: Boykin
TE: Cameron
K Henry
D: Pats

Bench: Bowe, Broncos D, P. Thomas, Josh Gordon (praying for smaller suspension drafted him in the last round.)

Old Dog 08-19-2014 02:08 PM

Drafted 10th in a 12-teamer.
.5 ppr and 6per passing TD
Starters bolded
QB: Brees Tannehill

TE: J. Reed
Flex: Sankey
D/ST: Bengals
K: Vinatieri

Solid team, could be great if you get solid RB play. I like Thomas, he's an every down back and while he's not going to break long runs, he is the guy who seems to fit perfectly in that offense.

CaliforniaChief 08-19-2014 05:24 PM

I like both of your teams.

I think Julio Jones will beast this year, and love Lacy. I almost took him but with Adrian Peterson on the board at #5, I had to take him.

First and Only draft I have a year, $100 entry 10 man league. --- We have to pay for $3 each for any trade, or transfer (drop/add) on the waiver wire. We also have the worst scoring player dish out $10 to the best scoring team that week. Keeps this competitive.

Normal Scoring.
Qb, 2RB, 1 RB/WR, 2WR, TE, D, K
Had the #2 pick (we draw from a hat) and do snake so my next pick was #19 in the second round. Round I picked player in ()

QB - Brees (2), Brady (9)
RB - McCoy (1), Murray (3), Ellington (4), J Bell (7)
WR - Garcon (5), Wright (8), Cooks (10), Boykin (14)
TE - V. Davis (6), J Reed (11)
D - Rams (12), Patriots (15)
K - Hauschka (13), Folk (16)

Thoughts... I was pissed at the guy that drafted #7, #14 - He was able to pick up C. Johnson and Lacy with his second round.

Top 5 went:
Charles
McCoy
Manning
Rodgers
Peterson

My Wish List for my picks in the top 5 rounds where i was slotted:

McCoy or Charles (1) - Got him
Marshall (2) (Gone but Brees was here, and I had him gone before my #19 pick)
Bernard Or Martin (3) - Both were available but so was Murray...
Stafford or Luck (4) - Both still available, but Brees in the second let me explore options, Ellington was a no brainier.
Garcon or Keenan Allen (5) - Got Him

I'm really banking on either Geno or E.J. to break out. Or as was suggested, I may have to leverage strength at RB/WR in a trade.

You need to trade Ray Rice for a QB.

Is it your sense that he's not going to get back to what he was?

Maybe he'll come out big in week 3 and I can leverage that into a QB.

It's mostly that I hate your QBs. I also think Bernard Pierce will steal his fair share of carries.
