Gomer Pyle marries his long term boyfriend
"Surprise, surprise, surprise!"
He must like to give him the Pyle Driver! http://tv.yahoo.com/news/actor-jim-n...070211861.html HONOLULU (AP) — The actor best known for playing the TV character Gomer Pyle in the 1960s has married his male partner of 38 years. Hawaii News Now (http://bit.ly/14tFM3U) reports Jim Nabors and his partner, Stan Cadwallader, traveled from their Honolulu home to Seattle to be married Jan. 15. Gay marriage became legal in Washington state last month. The 82-year-old Nabors says you've got to solidify something when you've been together as long as they have. The couple met in 1975 when Cadwallader was a Honolulu firefighter. Cadwallader is 64. Nabors says he's been open about his homosexuality to co-workers and friends but never acknowledged it to the media before. Nabors played Gomer Pyle in "The Andy Griffith Show" and "Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C." television shows. |

good for gomer
|
I've see them together a bunch of times recently. last Friday most recently. Nabors and I go to the same rheumatologist in Honolulu, lately at the same time, and his new husband always waits for him in the waiting room. I never knew until this story whether they were partners or not, or if the guy was a personal assistant or something, since he always took care of the paperwork. They don't show any public displays of affection.
Jim Nabors looks old (well he is 82), but he still sounds the same when he talks. Seems like a nice guy. Always smiling and laughing with the staff. |
Golly!

Don't ask, don't tell.
|
No wonder he talked that way.
|
actually, in all seriousness, good for Gomer.
