Get Out

ModSocks 09-11-2018 02:59 PM

Watched the Stan Romanek story last night.

For those who don't know who he is, he's been all over the news for having supposedly a mountain of evidence that prove the existence of UFO's etc.

Well...i watched his documentary as i came across it on Netflix and uh...LMAO LMAO LMAO

The only reason i watched more than 5 minutes of this shit show was because it was a fascinating look into the mind of a pathological liar.

It was fascinating to watch the complete and utter bullshit this guy came up with, and he he actually thought he was producing convincing evidence.

It served more as a case study for a lunatic than an actual UFO documentary.

Would NOT recommend unless you want a good laugh or to make fun of a crazy person.

Coherence

I can't recommend Coherence enough. You can watch it 5 times in a row and might not pick up on all the subtle hints and clues. The rewatch-ability is up there with Primer.

Also watched The Invitation on netflix the other night. Very good for a small budget indy flick. Not great, but good...

You'd like Creep - and part 2 is equal.

I didn't really like Creep 2. The whole appeal of Creep (for me) was not knowing if the guy was a psycho or just a weirdo. Once the ending happened, I'm not sure there was any good way to try to replicate the mystery in a sequel.

This is like the 7th annual event they're having it every year with the popularity and success they've had doing it. I found out about it last year but didn't get to go. So keep it in mind and try going next year. I'm really looking forward to it.

Not many Drive-In theaters left these days and those were Americana tradition.

Tried to watch Terrifer and just couldn't . Just too pointless/stupid & grotesque for my taste (and I've liked some gnarly shit over the years but this was just cheap gore porn) .

I plan on watching it. I got about 5 minutes of it in before my wife is like, "WTF is this shit?". She hates gore, so we decided on another movie. I'll be coming back to it though.

It may have been mentioned before in the thread, but "Cannibal Holocaust" is a good flick. It was basically the first found footage horror movie. It was so realistic that the directors had to sign sworn affidavits that all the actors are still alive.
