They should just send some linemen and a 1st and 2nd string punter on a smaller plane to save money for Pioli's buyout. Maybe they can tow a banner behind it for us too.

In those 5 quarters

0 points, 201 yards.

I'm not sure what the real big deal is. Plug in any of our other WRs into his position & stare down & throw to that guy...

Strongside 12-10-2012 02:44 PM

Pioli not signing this guy will go down as the most epic troll in franchise history.

RealSNR 12-10-2012 02:44 PM

What a guy.

Dwayne Bowe has the heart of a true warrior and can't help but give it his all even in the face of certain defeat. He knows, however, that in the off chance the team shows up that would be a devastating victory that would prevent the team from achieving true success by drafting Geno.

So he injures himself to keep his enormous swinging chocolate dick from fighting against that which will save us.

A true teammate. God bless Dwayne Bowe.

I've been saying this for a few weeks now.

There is no reason to continue to work JC too hard or to play vets who won't be here next year.

It didn't bother me a bit to see the bad news bears on the field. The young players getting lots of reps helps the next coach get some tape to see how deep he needs to cut to carve the tumor out of this team.

Hopefully Clark pulls the trigger on Pioli the day after the Denver game and hires a guy whose top 2 priorities are drafting a QB in R1 and re-signing Bowe.

If Clark Hunt wants Bowe to stay then he will stay, regardless of what happens with coaches/staff.

Unless it's Bowe that wants to go to a big market or something is not interested in staying for any acceptable price.

I think at the end of the 4th quarter in last last game, Bowe will turn to management and say...

I believe Bowe has proved himself for a humongous payday. The Chiefs would be wise to give it to him.

BossChief 12-10-2012 05:07 PM

With how much cap space we are gonna have, I cant see them letting Bowe walk.

Not when they should be looking to draft a qb.

They also have to meet the cap floor and the cash cap has to be spent.

Hopefully the new CBA forces them to keep Bowe AND Albert.

he should do that. they deserve it.

BossChief 12-10-2012 05:19 PM

We were 15 million under the cap and just between Routt, Cassel, Belcher, Jackson, Hillis and a few others that opens up over 30 million.

I'm probably wrong and in denial and trying to think through this rationally with a new GM in place and seriously think Bowe is gonna get a contract.

I think there's a good chance that a new GM will get Bowe a contract.

I'm just making sure you understand that the CBA and their cap situation won't FORCE them to do anything - the CBA mandates cash spending against the cap. The Chiefs are currently in the top 10 in the NFL in cash spending.

Dwayne Bowe heading to injured reserve
Posted by Josh Alper on December 10, 2012, 7:25 PM EST
Dwayne Bowe AP

Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe was ruled out for this week’s game against the Raiders early on Monday and now he’s been ruled out for the rest of the season.

PFT has learned via a league source that Bowe will be placed on injured reserve as a result of the broken ribs he suffered in Sunday’s lopsided loss to the Browns. Bowe had two catches for 70 yards before leaving Sunday’s game.

Bowe ends the year with 59 catches for 801 yards and three touchdowns, a fairly significant drop from his last two seasons. It could be the last work he does as a Chief. Bowe is set to become a free agent at the end of the season and he could be on his way out of Kansas City after failing to come to terms on a long-term deal after they franchised him last offseason.

Bowe said last month that he’d like to stay in Kansas City, but there’s a lot of time between now and the start of free agency for other options to become more appealing. There’s also likely to be a fair amount of change coming to the Chiefs organization, which would certainly impact what they decide to do in regard to Bowe.
