Chiefsplanet GMs vs. Dorsey's Predecessor

So a few of us have been playing a game for several years now in the casino forum, where we've pitted ourselves in the draft against the Chiefs' GM. In a coincidence, we started playing the same year that Dorsey's predecessor took over the Chiefs, so we have an interesting comparison.

The rules have been strict. We have to complete our draft before training camp starts, and we have to cut our rosters to 53 by game day. We lose free agents as they leave, and we can only add free agents who join the Chiefs. We can accept or reject trades by the Chiefs if they involve players who are on our own roster. So the bottom line is that the draft is our main variable.

Three people have been playing for all four years, and I present their rosters below. In the accompanying poll, please report whether you think they have drafted better or worse than Dorsey's predecessor, so they can adjust their self-esteem accordingly.

Whoever team C is should be the new gm of cp

RealSNR 04-07-2013 09:54 PM

Team C would challenge for the Super Bowl from the AFC.

Winner winner.

HoneyBadger 04-07-2013 09:54 PM

Ib4p

mcaj22 04-07-2013 09:58 PM

team A is by far the best/most realistic/should have been what we have

Hammock Parties 04-07-2013 09:59 PM

Team C is the clear winner.

ThaVirus 04-07-2013 10:04 PM

Team C's defense looks like it might be kind of weak with no Berry or Houston, but that offense would be nasty. Charles, CJ Spiller, Bowe and Tony Gonzalez.

Honestly, they get my vote for Russel Wilson alone.

Cornstock 04-07-2013 10:19 PM

B's gamble with Burfict is probably their single greatest move. A lot easier to do it when its not your real team than to risk it with a guy with as much baggage as he has. He's been nothing but Aces so far though.

Cornstock 04-07-2013 10:22 PM

B's defense plus C's offense would be off the hook. A's big guess was DeCastro, who I was in favor of drafting as well. But overall, A looks Pissholee's personal candy wrapper janitor.

Sfeihc 04-07-2013 10:22 PM

That Zach Brown has a heck of a band.

MeatRock 04-07-2013 11:04 PM

Team C winner. Russell Wilson with Charles, Bowe and Gonzalez. Wilson makes team C the best and it's not even close.

AussieChiefsFan 04-07-2013 11:36 PM

Team C is beautiful.

mcaj22 04-07-2013 11:47 PM

Team C would never ever ever happen

3 high picks on QBs in a 4 year span is completely unrealistic and too small of a sample time frame to jump off the wagon of one QB to another

it would have went Sanchez and Clausen or Clausen and Wilson

but not all 3. There is no evidence of that happening in the NFL ever.

BigMeatballDave 04-08-2013 05:13 AM

Well, shit.

I should have read the Op before voting. LOL

The point of the game was not to simulate what real, meathead, true fan GMs would do. It was to build the best team possible.
