Only the Chiefs.....

The 1 year we suck bad enough to warrant the #1 overall draft pick, is the year there isn't a QB prospect that's worthy of the #1 overall pick.

The sports Gods hate this ****ing city and it's fans.

Not this crap again

Hammock Parties 11-22-2012 05:11 PM

Geno is absolutely worth the #1 pick.

Arm strength, accuracy, size, mobility, vast amounts of experience and production.

Rasputin 11-22-2012 05:13 PM

****ing bull shit thread. Geno Smith & Barkley are worth the number 1 pick. They havn't even had the combine yet where things get heated up.

Hammock Parties 11-22-2012 05:13 PM

I bet Barkley drops to the 2nd round.

RunKC 11-22-2012 05:14 PM

This board thinks any thread worth starting is horrible unless it's about bashing Pioli for the umpteenth time over and over again.

What a sad place CP has become.

He's 6-3 and 220 lbs according to the WVU site.

2 inches taller and probably 25 lbs heavier than Croyle.

How often do 6-1 3/4 guys with above average arms and lousy mobility make it big in the NFL?

His ceiling is probably Trent Green.

I agree with the OP.

There's not a QB worthy of a #1. Better off drafting T'eo and try for Murray or Klein in the 2nd/3rd

I think it's a plan by Clark Mama's-boy Hunt to keep the sucking going... He hates KC! Yeah, had we suq'd for Luck last year, we'd of at least settled for RG-III. Instead we keep Piloi's dangling bloody hemorrhoid!

There are just no good QBs available.

Better draft 5-tech. It's the only safe pick!

Tebow thinks Klein's throwing motion is garbage. I can't see him being a successful nfl QB.

Never draft a QB from USC. Everyone of them are always hyped up and flop in the NFL.

milkman 11-22-2012 08:17 PM

I am really amazed at the stupidity here.

In 2011, the first 3 QBs taken were Cam Newton, Jake Locker and Blaine Gabbert.

In 2010, the first 3 QBs taken were Sam Bradford, Tim TeBow and Jimmy Clausen.

In 2009, the first 3 QBs taken were Matt Stafford, Mark Sanchez and Josh Freeman.

In 2008, the first 3 QBs taken were Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco and Brian Brohm.

And you think this is a down year for QBs.

Last year's draft was an anomaly.

This is a superior top 3 than any of those listed above.

I believe what the OP is saying is that there isn't a Luck or RG3 in this year's draft. So what? When your QBs are Cassel, Quinn, and Stanzi, you take a QB with the #1 pick. End of discussion.

There's so much truth in this. Everyone has gone stupid all of a sudden in thinking that anything less than last years level of QB draft would be failure. Don't waste your time getting all worried about our options. We have great options if we continue to suck.

Having said that, I'm still of the belief that we should take two QB's with starting potential...even if one of them is a bit more of a project. We simply HAVE to get this position fixed before we worry about other holes.

^ This x100000. Had this class come out any other year but this it would be viewed far better. People look at this class expecting Luck or RGIII who are rare, rare talents. They don't see them so they see a weak class. This is actually going to be a good class.

Shut up. Geno = #1 overall.
The team with the #1 pick usually needs a QB, therefore the best QB in the draft will almost always warrant the #1 pick. You draft for need. We need a QB. There are QB's worth our #1 pick. or you can sit there and hope for another DT from LSU.

Well maybe there are good QB's in this draft outside of Geno. According to NC State coach Tom O'Brien, Mike Glennon is the next Matt Ryan.

What will irritate the **** out of me is when they draft a QB and then don't make him the starter. The Stanzi style treatment to let them get ready.

Hardly. Sanchez' biggest downside when he was drafted was his lack of experience. The only common denominator is USC.

If the Chiefs don't draft a QB after this season the only games I'll be watching from now on will be when they'r on the TV in the unlikely event I'm in a sports bar on a Sunday.

Geno Smith or Tyler Wilson please. Screw those USC QBs.

mcaj22 11-23-2012 01:26 PM

the problem is we should have never been in this position but our piece of shit GM with a massive ego put us in it.

He could have easily drafted a Ryan Mallet or Brock Osweiller to be grooming to save his ass but hes that stupid that we will essentially be throwing a rookie QB into the fire next season, and that pretty much means another losing season/rebuilding year

WE COULDA HAD SANCHEZ1!!!!!

**** Mallet and Assweiler....and there is nothing wrong at all with a rook starting right out of the gate in today's NFL.

Oh, and anyone that mentions Foles should have a monkey pop out of their computer screen and whack their pecker with a hammer.

Geno Smith or Tyler Bray will be totally worth taking at #1. Not so sure about Barkley or Wilson at this point, but I haven't followed up on Wilson much lately.

there aren't any Lucks or RG3's but I'll be happy with one of those QB's.
