New cell phone battery?
 

What's a good place to get a new cell phone battery without paying some ridiculous price?

Amazon was cheap enough (less than $10), but half of the reviews say the battery was good, the other half say the battery was knock-off garbage.

its more than 10 but I've used them a couple times and the batteries are great. I could get 2.5 days out of my galaxy s3 before I had to consider charging it

Thanks. I still have the S2. That site has an extended battery, but it requires a new back for the phone to accomodate the larger battery. Not sure I want that.

Yeah, I know...but I like it. And the newer one is a little bigger and I don't want it any bigger.

Can't blame you there. Phones have reached max size while still being portable imho.

Because some of the Amazon reviews said they received a piece of junk that didn't work at all. For less than $10 I'll probably go ahead and try it.

I just hate those scammers--for low-dollar items they think they can send junk and they figure people won't go through the hassle of returning it--which I probably wont.

Now they're coming out with "phablets" (phone/tablets). That shit's too big for a guy's pocket.

I ordered a battery for my cell from Amazon a few weeks ago, it works like a champ. :thumb:

My wife has a Galaxy S4 and the first thing I said when I saw it was "phablet". She loves it. I think I'll stick with my iPhone.

I ordered one on Amazon. I passed on the ones that looked exactly like the Samsung-labeled battery. I figured those are either junky Chinese knock-offs or used. Instead got one with a third-party label from a company that looks like they make "legit" knock-offs if that makes sense. This isn't exactly a high-$ purchase, but I just hate getting ripped off by those guys selling crap who figure most people won't go to the trouble of returning it.

It's not that I'm even being cheap on this--the S2 is only a couple years old but I can't find a new battery anywhere. Samsung's website doesn't even have it in stock.
