I lost a high school friend when we were working in a silo. He lost hold of the side ladder and fell in, and every move he made he fell deeper in as the air pockets collapsed around him.

Man, if only he could have clung on to something and hoisted himself to where he could successfully land with his feet on the ground.

And what a wuss...he was in a tough situation, but when the going gets tough, God dammit, you grind it out.
