Make your selection for the Chiefs.

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: QB Marcus Mariota, Oregon
2. Jacksonville Jaguars: DE/DT Leonard Williams, USC
3. Oakland Raiders: OT Cedric Ogbuhei, Texas A&M
4. Tennessee Titans: DE/OLB Randy Gregory, Nebraska
5. New York Jets: WR Amari Cooper, Alabama
6. Washington Redskins: OT Andrus Peat, Stanford
7. St. Louis Rams: QB Jameis Winston, Florida State
8. Minnesota Vikings: RB Todd Gurley, Georgia
9. Cleveland Browns: DE/OLB Shane Ray, Missouri
10. Houston Texans: S Landon Collins, Alabama
11. Pittsburgh Steelers: CB P.J. Williams, Florida State
12. Miami Dolphins: CB Marcus Peters, Washington
13. Cleveland Browns: OT Brandon Scherff, Iowa
14. Atlanta Falcons: DE/OLB Dante Fowler, Florida
15. Chicago Bears: CB Ronald Darby, Florida State
16. New York Giants: DE/OLB Shilique Calhoun, Michigan State
17. New Orleans Saints: DE/OLB Vic Beasley, Clemson
18. Kansas City Chiefs: ???

Who do you select?

Direckshun 10-16-2014 01:06 PM

I think the top selections in this scenario:

WR Sammie Coates, Auburn
WR Ty Montgomery, Stanford
TE Devin Funchess, Michigan
DE/DT Arik Armstead, Oregon
DE/OLB Shawn Oakman, Baylor
CB Trae Waynes, Michigan State

I'd have to decide between all the skill position players here. Right now, I'd probably roll with Montgomery. It would be really hard to pass on the other three players, though. Or these two guys in the trenches.

The Franchise 10-16-2014 01:33 PM

Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State

Dave Lane 10-16-2014 01:41 PM

How many cp idiots would want us not to take Mariota and take a RT. There's got to be 100s of them.

OldSchool 10-16-2014 05:51 PM

Any of these 3:

1. Sammie Coates, WR
2. Trae Waynes, CB
3. Shawn Oakman, DL
4. Spencer Drango, OT

Dark Horses (depends on how well they test):

Kevin White, WR
DeVante Parker, WR

Waynes.

kccrow 10-16-2014 06:40 PM

FS Cody Prewitt, Ole Miss

Oakman, and you idiots need to stop talking about Funchess like he's even an option here lol. Also, what about that overrated linebacker that you apparently know nothing about according to the other thread? lol

That's 4, and 5, and 6. Oakman, yes. Spencer, maybe all the rest aren't options at the spot for what we need to accomplish in this draft.

What is it that needs to be accomplished?

Very good player.

I originally had him in my mock in the third round, but he's having another great year and will most likely be gone by then. Prototype size and is a real ball hawk. Hits like a truck. Built like a linebacker but has real functional speed.

However, I would take Benardrick McKinney, ILB, Mississippi State.

He's absolutely destroying people right now. Arguably the best ILB/MLB at the college level. Physical, huge and incredibly instinctive. Should test exceptionally well at the combine.

Direckshun 10-16-2014 11:39 PM

Man, I am not liking McKinney.

I reviewed him in the Draft Prospects, thread, Sac. You should read it and flame the shit out of me. I am really not impressed.

RunKC 10-17-2014 12:13 PM

Funchess and if he's gone, then White. This team needs a weapon on the outside

Ew, ****ing Ew. We don't need nearly as many weapons as you guys think we do, we have a **** ton already, we just need ONE solid outside guy to be Bowe's counterpart, that's it. AJ Jenkins would fill that role, if he could get his head out of his ass and play to his talent level. If teams knew he could catch and handle his part of the offense, it would be scary how efficient this offense runs when no receiver, TE, or RB sees double coverage and we have to work less on reducing our offense to half the field.

Direckshun 10-17-2014 08:21 PM

I think we could use another athletic TE like Funchess.

The Chiefs are already showing themselves very adept in their multiple TE formations.
