I was more or less shocked there were people who existed who didn't think Blake Griffin wasn't going to be a total animal at the next level

I just find it funny that people really have the energy to be mad at 3-7 round picks. These are player who will likely be out the league in a few years. I understand getting worked up over a 1st round pick and some 2nd round picks but, after the 3rd, why are you angry over drafting Michael Michaelson from Longview community college in the 4th round?

HOW CAN YOU PASS ON CAM THOMAS??? So much hilarity.

Its even funnier that as average as McCluster is, he's had a much better pro career than Terrence Cody.

the funniest meltdown I've ever seen on this board was 'Hamas' Jenkins being SO ****ING MAD that we traded a future 7th to get back into that current year's 7th and taking Jake O'Connell. I thought he was going to kill somebody, make a video, and post it on YouTube. Greatest ****ing meltdown in CP history.

the draft gurus hated the Dontari Poe pick, too

well since this hypothetical makes absolutely no sense whatsoever you're probably right

the San Antonio Spurs would not trade Tim Duncan for Blake Griffin

1) He's a franchise icon.
2) The Spurs are looking to be known as one of the best dynasties ever. Trading an icon when he's still playing at an incredibly efficient level makes no sense. They are all in on Tim Duncan.

Now. If you're trying to say Blake Griffin isn't more valuable than a 38 year old Tim Duncan ... well ... ha.

Blake is probably one of the top 10 most valuable commodities in the NBA

Hootie 03-23-2015 02:42 PM

...and Tim Duncan is incredible. He continues to play at an insanely efficient level and he's 38 years old with a billion miles on him.

I'd take Tim Duncan and the Tim Duncan career and the Tim Duncan on a roster over Kobe Bryant and it's not even close. I'd take Tim Duncan 1,000,000 out of 1,000,000. All-time great, and an all-time great TEAM player.

I like him as a person. He just gives off that vibe of being a good person.

That said no way do I agree with you...

Hootie 03-23-2015 02:47 PM

Tim Duncan at least has the ability to say, "yeah, I was the best player on an NBA Champion team."

Can Kobe? (No.)

Less basketball talk in a thread prefixed as [NFL Draft], please.

Hootie 03-23-2015 02:50 PM

It would be super badass if they had a [Hootie Meltdown] thread prefix.
