KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Police are attempting to sort out a horrible and confusing situation at a Kansas City apartment complex.

A 19-year-old boy apparently fatally shot his 14-year-old brother whose body was subsequently buried near the apartments, police tell KCTV5.

About 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to a shots fired call at Longview Road and Richmond Avenue. Officials said two teens were being questioned as part of the investigation and police began to search for the victim.

As part of the investigation, police learned about a missing teen and that search led officers to find a hand sticking out of the ground. Police believe the body to be that of the missing 14-year-old boy.

The shooting is believed to have occurred between Friday and Wednesday.

KCTV5 reporter Jeanene Kiesling is gathering more information. Watch KCTV5 News at Noon, 4, 5 and 6 p.m. and refresh this page for updates.

It was more of a legal question than a philosophical one...

AP style states you're a boy or girl under 18, men and women 18 and older so either the writer is unprofessional stylistically or trying to spin the story..

Dayze 04-24-2013 11:27 AM

i hope they find out that the brother didn't have a hand in this crime

this always bothered me. either let them drink, or raise the minimum age for service to 21.

of course.....they wouldn't have nearly as many servicemen/women to support our annual wars.
