I thought District 9 blew, one of the most overhyped movie let-downs I can remember, but I'm a big Damon fan, so I'm in.

I'm with you. I saw D9 on HBO or whatever and found it boring and way overhyped. I like Damon but this is a cable viewing for me.

The story is overplayed (dystopic future where it's wealthy versus poor). His last film was some kind of take on Aparthied as well.

Meh.

I thought District 9 was amazing (especially considering the film was made on a 30 million dollar budget). Elysium has like a 100 million dollar budget. Just imagine what Neil can do with that amount of money.

I just hope Elysium isnt too preachy which was only the minor problem I had with District 9

District 9 was the Peas and Carrots, Cat's Pajamas, Bee's Knees and Elephant's Instep compressed in one Sharlto Copley approved can of cat food.

I'm a Damon fan and District 9 I thought was decent. I'll likely see this in theaters
