Rice involved in shooting at SMU pre draft?
The news on Rashee Rice keeps getting better and better...

Florio is a bundle of sticks.
The incident wasn't great, but it was vandalizing a car, not murder. |
I told you all I would report as soon as my top notch investigative reporting was concluded!

The OR is not doing enough work here.
|
If it was predraft, it’s a complete nothing burger.
|
That doesn't sounds like my Rashee. My Rashee is a sweet boy and would never do such a thing.

I’d take anything from Florio with a mountain sized grain of salt.

Lawl, who hasn't fired off a few rounds into a rival lovers automobile?!? Just boys being boys.

I thought the NFL couldn’t punish Jalen Carter because his situation happened before he was in the league.
Is that not true here? |
Rashee deserves a little credit for being responsible enough to make sure the car was empty.
|
Andy Reid kept this cretin clean for over a year. COACHING STAFF OF THE YEAR!
|
Rashee Rice kicked my cat too.
|
I blame this on the girlfriend, the Kansas city star, and Frank white

I don't know what Kendric Davis did to warrant that action, but it must have been bad. I'm glad we didn't draft him.

Oh, this is from Florio about a black player? Nothing to see here. Let's all move on. |

Now THAT doesn't sound reasonable. |

Could impact the NFL’s disciplinary action? How so, Mike? He wasn’t in the NFL when it occurred. Aren’t you a lawyer, Mike? Because that’s just not how that works, Mike. Mmkay.

What in the actual **** is Florio talking about?
"The latest incident involving Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice has prompted some in the media to dust off pre-draft reports from anonymous scouts who expressed negative opinions about Rice. The fact, however, that those opinions have been validated by recent events doesn’t make it right to smear players with the subjective beliefs of those who might benefit from a player slipping and sliding in the draft. There are certain objective facts, however, that teams became aware of — and that did not come to light publicly before the draft. Those facts could impact the manner in which his current entanglements are handled by the NFL. Per multiple sources, multiple teams learned during the pre-draft process about an alleged incident involving Rice while he was at SMU. Rice believed former SMU basketball player Kendric Davis was seeing Rice’s girlfriend. Rice and some of his friends, per the specific information gathered by at least one team, went to an SMU basketball game. Rice (or someone with him), per the specific information gathered by at least one team, fired multiple bullets into the empty car belonging to Kendric Davis. Multiple sources expressed a belief that every team was aware of the incident before the draft, including the Chiefs. Kansas City drafted Rice in round two. He was the fifty-fifth overall selection." So first its pretty much every team knew about this ALLEGED incedent, but only one team gathered any specific information. Gtfooh Florio. ****ing hack ass reerun. |
Rashee Rice was in Las Vegas during the Super Bowl in February.
He may or may not have been in the vicinity of a gun while in Vegas. https://24.media.tumblr.com/03ccd74e...nk4uo1_500.gif |
There will be a story of him pushing a kid and taking his candies soon.
|
Bagh! Hearsay! Nothing to see here!
|
Dude’s a thug that’s it. His actions at the very least suggest it.

I don't like that Florio guy much

Rashee Rice is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I have ever known.

What happened to that Mike?!?!?! |
I’ll be a character witness.
Rashee Rice has never shot me, hit me with his car, or lured me to a night club to punch me. There are literal billions of people just like me. |
Someone needs to turn all those funny “thanks Obama” gifs into “thanks Rice” gifs.

I’m not one to defend Rashee, but we’ve reached the level of irrelevant hit pieces. Great job, everyone.

Don't know why you're upset with me. I didn't write the story, lol. Anyway, I'm not interested in the whole Florio hate thing, tbh. Not a fan, but not a hater. But I don't recall Florio just making up stories. Even in the Tyreek case, I believe he actually read the story straight off the wire, and then afterwards he began to give his opinion. I disagreed with him giving his opinion without getting the whole story, but it's his show; he can do that sort of thing on his show. But hey, if it turns out that the story was fabricated, great. Still have the other two incidents that aren't great, but at least we don't have three, right? The problem I have is that usually where there's this much smoke there's usually at least some fire involved. And really I don't care that much that Rice (or one of his friends, though that seems unlikely in this case) shot an empty car a few times. I think it's idiotic, and beyond what could be called "boys will be boys" shenanigans, but whatever at this point. What I find concerning is the apparent trend of behavior by Rice, and what that might translate into down the road while he's a Chief. I mean, let's hope that this story is fake. Benefit of the doubt, guilty until proven innocent, and all that. If it's not though, well, our Chiefs might have some chronic issues, a la Antonio Brown (or worse), with this player over the next 4 or so years, which I'm pretty sure none of us really want to see unfold. But again, I'm hoping along with everyone else that this didn't really happen, and that Rashee's name will be cleared. But I'm also not going to forget this story until that happens. |
Rice involved in the attempted murder of Roni.
|
What is the big deal? Everyone walks around shooting empty cars. It's a thing.

I agree. In fact, when that story came out, I was kind of harsh on Mr. Jalen Carter. So, what's your point again? |

I'll be honest, I didn't read/see Florio's story on Andy's possible retirement. There were a lot of those floating around towards the tail end of last season, and I just stopped checking those stories out at some point. But the ones I did see were all op-ed pieces and not actual reports, and the rules for those are a lot looser than a report. Or they used to be anyway. And if his story was in fact worded as you wrote above, " 'Andy Reid may retire at season's end'" (bold added) well, that would be an opinion piece, not a report, in which case he can say almost anything he wants, as long as he uses diction like that. |

Eh, I'm not terribly motivated to do that. At least not today. We're doing Mother's Day today, so I'm multi-tasking over here planning the day out while my mom is at the nail salon/hairdresser's. Might get back to it after the weekend, but also might not. Thing is, if Florio doesn't actually have "multiple sources," and/or just fabricated the story about Rice shooting up a car, that would be actionable, or should be by whoever produces/owns PFN, because that story was given as a report, not an opinion piece. But if the story can be verified by other/any credible reporters, well, Florio did his job, at least in this case. |
Quote:
It was absolutely not an opinion piece. He was saying he was hearing that Andy was going to retire. His rationale after the extension was that no one corrected him, so Andy really was mulling retirement and that's how he proceeds with stories. I honestly can't believe you are feigning ignorance in regards to this topic. |
