Drama in New England
Apparently Patriots owner told the Falcons owner not to hire Belichick and not to trust him. Sounds like he's still bitter that Belichick pushed Brady out.

Never get involved with anything New England

If true, that's still on the Falcons owner for being influenced by an scumbag piece of shit like Kraft.
Not that hiring Belichick was a good idea in the first place. |
Doubtful
|
Beli can still coach, and cheat, but I wouldn't let him be GM as well.

Nice NY Post article, very useful

I would hate for Clark to do something like that to Reid...thankfully he's a decent guy.

Shut up, staylor NY Post is a ****ing tabloid this isn't political

**** them. |
Belichick was on the McAfee show today. Don't know if it's a concerted effort to make himself the good guy or if this is really how he is once the facade drops but he was completely different. All smiles and dropping some pretty damn interesting tidbits.

Bill is done. Without Brady leading the team it all went to shit. Can't draft and hired his shithead DC to be the OC of a rookie QB. Should have been canned for that. Documentary basicly said he's an asshole. Nobody wants him around.

Very clear Kraft-directed hit job on Belichick. It was super entertaining but also dramatically skewed in a certain direction. I have no doubt that Belichick is actually really ****ing cool, engaging, and funny. If you listen to the Edelmans and Gronks of the world, you get a good window into who he is and how he needed to run things for his system. |

If it were any left leaning news outlet (in other words, the overwhelming majority), you wouldn't have said anything. In reality, they're no better, and in many cases, even worse. |
the patriots dynasty was bad and evil and corrupt and wrong and stinky
the chiefs dynasty is good and pure and the way and the truth and the life and smells like roses |

We're also incredibly lucky to have retained Spagnuolo all this time. The fact he's inarguably the most accomplished and a top tier coordinator yet can't even get a single interview despite publicly stating he wants one every year is ****ing asinine.

I think this was all taken out of context. Kraft clarified his statements:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Robert Kraft quick to address the rumors <a href="https://t.co/jxhUFqeN0x">pic.twitter.com/jxhUFqeN0x</a></p>— McNeil (@Reflog_18) <a href="https://twitter.com/Reflog_18/status/1780603969339060342?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 17, 2024</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> |

I also wouldn’t doubt that Beli is a cool ass dude behind the scenes. I’ve seen short clips of him coaching on the sidelines during games and was surprised that he sounded upbeat and normal. Whenever he’s in a press conference he sounds like a total douche, unless you ask some obscure question about a special teams formation from 1956 and allow him to nerd out lol Here’s a good look at the more normal Bill: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/Dn1cv1p1WTo?si=PfNYmSQomIap6TOZ" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
It's crazy to think that at this point we may never see Belichick even have a post-retirement relationship with the Patriots. Imagine a world where he isn't in their Hall of Fame. Is never honored or brought back. After all of that success it's just a bitter, nasty relationship. Way worse that what we saw with Jimmy Johnson and the Cowboys.

Good. Let's Big Andy catch up a bit. Hopefully takes everything from that cheating POS

With Tom Brady: 249 - 75

Not sure on that one.

Bill is washed and it's all come tonlight that his best players thought he was an asshole. Clearly Kraft blames him for Brady leaving and he got a little revenge. Kraft like all rich ****s take zero accountability. He should have canned Bill long ago.
|
Would the Pats have been better if Brady stayed?
Sure. But I doubt they were good enough to win another SB. Tampa had a lot of talent between WR and DL especially. The Pats needed a rebuild and stupid of Kraft to blame Beli for that. |
Now he probably should have canned Bill for the rebuild.
