I got a special last summer for an entire year for $19.99. It has a lot of really great content and some fun originals. Absolutely, absolutely worth it at $6 bucks a month.

For me, I usually get Netflix for a month once the show I want to binge is completely out. I do the same with HBO Max. Sometimes with Paramount+. Like, when Halo season 2 is all available, I will get it, binge, and be done until the next time I want to see something exclusive to Paramount+.

But, I pay monthly for Amazon Prime with Video, and Peacock. Well, I only got Peacock because of the deal, but it was so worth it.

I think it will be the Texans/Browns. They might get idiot Cowboys fans to subscribe to Peacock but you'd think their ad sales would be a lot less than they would be on broadcast TV.

When 2026 rolls around and three NFL playoff games are on Peacock, Paramount and ESPN+, will you share the same opinion?

Better to be on Peacock than get stuck with the Monday game, where your team ends up with a short week heading into the 2nd playoff game.

Cowboys play the Packers. I would almost bet money that's on FOX in the afternoon Sunday, or on Monday Night Football if ESPN gets to shoot their shot first. That's going to be the biggest game of the weekend for ratings.

Yeah, I've had Peacock since it started because of the Premier League. It's well worth $6.

Exactly. This isn't going to be a one off thing. It's the path the NFL is heading down. It started with regular season games on Amazon and NFL network to test the waters. In a year or two we'll need five different streaming services to watch the playoffs.

If this is a test to see if it works I’ve got bad news for, it’s going to work because people will definitely be signing up to watch.

93 of the top 100 televised shows in 2023 were football and Peacock will get more subscriptions that day than ever.

Just need a couple hundred million people to boycott with you and it'll become a bad idea.

There's a free trial if you don't have Peacock. If you do then you're already set.

Yeah, people wondering why they're doing it, and putting the (arguably) most popular draw on it, don't understand the economics. More than a million casual swifties will tune in and buy the first playoff game she's going to.

There will definitely be a tipping point for many people where it's not worth the effort to jump through hoops to watch games. We're obviously not there yet, but selling exclusive rights to games is only going to increase, and eventually it will happen.

Getting subscriptions to 10 different streaming options then adding add-on packages to those just so you can watch the same number of games as back when cable had 13 channels
