He's 87 years old. He's lived a full life. Think I'll waste my prayers on something/someone else.

I'm not sure that wishing someone to do better is ever a wasted prayer. Yes 87 is a full life and you may just have to adjust said prayers to the rest of his time left is painfree, peaceful and is able to have his bucket list checked, but that is not a wasted prayer.

We need MORE msmith threads, not less. Nobody makes you contemplate life-related issues quite like msmith does. Msmith may very well be my favorite thread-starter.
