KC CHIEFS vs. LA CHARGERS: Who wins? Your predictions?

Biggest game of the AFC so far!

14th game of season.

Thursday Night.

Chiefs 11-2
Chargers 10-3

What say yea?

baitism 12-11-2018 09:58 AM

38-27 Chiefs

Randallflagg 12-11-2018 09:58 AM

Chiefs - 21-17

Pablo 12-11-2018 10:02 AM

Chiefs 35-31.

ptlyon 12-11-2018 10:03 AM

Let's make it 10, shall we?

Danguardace 12-11-2018 10:04 AM

27-17 Chiefs

MeaTy The Pimp 12-11-2018 10:30 AM

34-17 Chiefs.

I think that they will curb stomp LAC. They know that the AFCWest crown is on the line along with HFA.

...and besides - Mahommes

The Franchise 12-11-2018 10:36 AM

Chiefs - 38
Chargers - 31

Rasputin 12-11-2018 10:39 AM

The crowed noise is going make Chargers center ears bleed and premature snap the ball and Phylis fumbles.

Direckshun 12-11-2018 10:40 AM

I'm flipping and flopping on this.

Chargers by 3.

'Hamas' Jenkins 12-11-2018 10:41 AM

Close early, Chiefs pull away late.

41-31.

This thread is for predictions, not hopes.

Chargers can't stop us, but they might be able to slow us down since both of our starting WRs will probably be out and we'll be down to our 3rd string RB.

I don't think we can stop them, either. Rivers is playing at MVP levels this year, Melvin Gordon may be back, and they've got a very good receiver corps.

I think it's going to be, like, 37-34 or something insane like that.

FlaChief58 12-11-2018 10:49 AM

46-44 Chiefs

Coochie liquor 12-11-2018 10:56 AM

Chiefs 31 Sharters 28. Refs keep the Sharters in it til late despite Phyllis having the worst day ever!

Eleazar 12-11-2018 11:02 AM

Chiefs 50
Chargers 49

Meatloaf 12-11-2018 11:05 AM

We're a beat up team right now and will have only had 4 days to get ready for this game. Lots of injuries, a short week, and a pretty good opponent have me worried. I hope I'm wrong, but right now my vibes tell me that the Chargers eke out a win. :-(

I hate me.

That's about how I see it too. Chargers are in the groove and only down 3 in the 4th quarter. CP collectively shits it's pants but Rivers will **** up like always and throw a pick or get strip sacked. Then he'll run his mouth to the officials about god knows what and we'll all enjoy the night and go to bed happy.

Chiefnj2 12-11-2018 11:09 AM

24-21 Chiefs

O.city 12-11-2018 11:17 AM

They're calling for rain and win.

Low scoring crap fest.

Rasputin 12-11-2018 11:27 AM

Sounds a lot like the "predictions" for the first game at LA. How did that turn out?

I knew Mahomes was capable of putting up MVP numbers.

I said he could put up 8 touchdowns in a game and i believe he can do it any game . I know that would be a tall order after playing just four days and star players banged up but 6 touchdowns is feasible this game.

BleedingRed 12-11-2018 12:01 PM

42-35 Chiefs

pugsnotdrugs19 12-11-2018 12:03 PM

Weather forecast makes me think it won’t be quite as high scoring as maybe it should be.

Until Rivers shows me that he can play well at Arrowhead, I’m not buying in. Especially when KCs defense has statistically been so much better at home in general.

Chiefs 27
Chargers 17

Imon Yourside 12-11-2018 12:07 PM

Rivers gonna Rivers 99-0 Chiefs, Rivers throws the go ahead pick six 12 seconds into the game.

HC_Chief 12-11-2018 12:08 PM

I hate to say it, but Chargers in this one. The KC offense is beat the hell up after that brutal Ravens game, plus missing Watkins.

Chargers can double Kelce, double Hill, and play to contain Mahomes in pocket. Make Williams and the WR corps not named Hill or Watkins beat you. That keeps it close, hope Mahomes forces a few leading to INTs, and take advantage of the Chiefs' absolutely shit defense.

hahaha, okay, then I will rephrase.

CHIEFS: beat up, a lot of injuries, tough, draining game.

CHARGERS: because of Chiefs' injuries, take away the two big threats (or at least do your best to take them away). Make everyone else make plays. Do NOT let Mahomes out of pocket (at least do your best to keep him in pocket). Do those two things and keep it close. Then take full advantage of KC's poor defense. Do not fall behind early; KC's D does ONE thing well: rush the passer. If the game is tight, the run threat remains, and the KC D is easy to gash.

There, better?

I HOPE you are correct. Hopefully Rivers does something stupid a couple of times at critical points in the game, and KC wins it.

The fact that they are beat the hell up during a short week is worrisome.

Mahomes trumps Fat Andy’s monumental classic stupidity.

I’m gonna pick

Chargers 3
Buttplugger 3 misses.

Chargers win 3 - 0.

No one in a Chiefs uniform... Only way for KC to stop him is hoping he gets hurt...

JakeF 12-11-2018 02:17 PM

Chargers should have their Defensive line slant to the left to prevent Mahomes from rolling right. Then bring an extra rusher from the back side to prevent the Chiefs running to the left. This, along with the natural pass rush from Bosa and Ingram, will present serious problems for the Chiefs.

Allen has destroyed us in the past. I think we were down by like 20 points last year before Allen got hurt and we came back to win. His decent size and good speed are a major problem.

I hope they do this. Since it's your idea, it's sure to fail spectacularly!

TomBarndtsTwin 12-11-2018 03:23 PM

Think it's going to be a close, high scoring affair. Chiefs kick last minute field goal to win and clinch AFC West.

Chiefs 41, Chargers 38

JakeF 12-11-2018 03:26 PM

Mahomes tends to make clutch plays.
Rivers tends to choke against us.

Chiefs win by 11

Blick 12-11-2018 03:38 PM

We're going to destroy them.

We own Rivers and the Chargers. They're down to their 3rd running back, so they'll probably drop Phil back 50 times or so. Our pass rush + Arrowhead at night/Tony G ring of honor vibes + Phil's noodle arm in the elements = we stomp the shit out of them. Chargers are pretenders.

38-23 Chiefs

Yet, you pick against him at home on a short week for a visiting team... I get it, it helps take the sting out of a loss if it happens and you could say you were right. I would rather feel the pain than predict a loss with this kid under center.

I'll keep it monosyllabic moving forward. Grunts and pointing; poor knuckles are going to be raw from all the dragging :D

Seriously tho', injuries are major concern. Mahomes is a legit phenom but his surrounding cast is beat the hell up. Hill is gimpy. Hunt is gone and his replacement is hurt. Watkins is out. There are injuries along the OL. This is a major concern. It won't keep KC from scoring, just makes them less likely to drop 40 on SD...hell, likely to keep them in the 20s. When that happens, pucker factor goes WAAAAY up because as we all know, this defense isn't exactly a world beater. They are atrocious against the pass, weak against the run, and make up for it by being shitty tacklers.

BELIEVE, we are in a new ERA... Could we lose, of course, do I expect us to lose, absolutely not. If this were last year I would have different feelings going into this game. I could be terribly wrong about this, but I have been a die hard Chiefs fan since I was 5, right after our SB win vs. the Vikes, which I have no memory as I was 3 1/2... In this time frame, I have never felt more comfortable than I have the last 9-10 weeks before or even during a game. I expect us to win. If we get down, I expect us to pull it out. The 4th and 9 on Sunday I didn't feel helpless. That was weird... I should have expected us to fail and have to get a stop with our 3 timeouts to have a chance, but I actually would have been more surprised if he didn't get the first down like I was during the Rams game. It isn't logical, but with Mahomes, it is becoming the norm. Good times, enjoy, and believe.

George Liquor 12-11-2018 05:16 PM

Melvin Gordon completely wrecked two of my FF teams.

F you!

HC_Chief 12-11-2018 05:16 PM

Totally get it and agree. Mahomes is THE difference. Any other week, I have complete confidence they win. This week however is short prep time after a physical match where several key players got hurt. We are also without our #2 wideout. I do not see that as a probable loss but rather a limitation that makes this team beatable. It makes the offense merely good rather than HOLY SHIT DID YOU SEE THAT!?!?! fantastic. If a team can keep KC in the 20s, they have a legit shot to win, even in Arrowhead (because of the bad defense).

Full week, healthy team, KC dominates this game and it's not even remotely in doubt.

We've been without our second WR for several weeks now and put up 51 at the Rams, 40 at Oakland and 27 on the top rated defense currently. We would like to have Sammy back yes, but his absence has not stopped this offense at all.

Chiefs4TheWin 12-11-2018 06:45 PM

Too hard to predict for me. Chiefs by a Butker 80 yard field goal.

All the more impressive considering the bell cow was released and the O-line has had to play next man up most of the season.
