At this point I think we can just assume that Berry isn't practicing. It will be more newsworthy when (if) he actually does practice.

CaliDatGuy 11-09-2018 01:46 PM

His discomfort is common to women wearing heels? Don’t they just keep it moving? Sorry Eric it seems weird you’re out for a heel issue for women

I'm about done with Morse. I know it wasn't his fault he got hurt but it's like this every year. He cannot stay on the field and he isn't that great to begin with. He's okay-good but obviously can be replaced rather easily.

The only problem is that you’ll also end up with a byproduct player who has a limp dick Achilles and gets a concussion from blinking too hard.

Guess which one we’d give the big contract to...

Oh, I know. My comment was not about money, but rather I was just stating that a Center, with concussion issues, is a bad thing, because he's knocking heads on virtually every play. I really think Morse just needs to retire. I think it's the best thing for his health.

FloridaMan88 11-09-2018 05:13 PM

For those keeping score at home, Eric Berry has officially been "day to day" for 90 days now.

In the last 5 years, Berry has MISSED more games than he has played in.
He has PLAYED in 39 of 80 regular season games or just a hair under 50%.
He got one hell of a contract for how much he has played.

Mitch Morse should just retire and I think this is like his 4th concussion. Wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Yea, we need to make a plan at center that doesn't include Morse. Even if he gets healthy enough to comes back to work its only a matter of time before he gets hurt again.

Maine 11-09-2018 07:20 PM

Berry is month to month

Flying High D 11-09-2018 07:20 PM

3rd&Long 11-09-2018 07:59 PM

It was a genuine miracle that Berry was able to come back and actually play after his bout with cancer. Kudos to him for doing that. It's reality, I believe, that his non-playing status currently is more in tune with the realities of this disease although you won't be hearing that analysis from the media or front office anytime soon.

The Chiefs are 8-1. They have been assaulted on defense like a $40.00 crack whore all year but they are still winning, and have not needed Berry for those wins. In my humble opinion, it might be the Chiefs and Berry know he’s done. That being said, they might be allowing him to sit and rest until it comes time they could really use him, playoffs. Why else has he continued to eat a roster spot? He may hold up for four or five games.
I would not be surprised if he did not hit the field until game 15 or 16 to shake off the rust before the big playoff run.

Either way, EB will not be a Chief next year.

That goes right out the window when you realize we're only one loss away from losing home field advantage. We can't afford to be at less than 100% if we can avoid it just for Berry to take his sweet ass time coming back. Not to mention, he hasn't played in 2 years. He needs time to get in the swing of things, if he is even capable of playing at a high level anymore. the idea that he can come back just for the playoffs is ignorant, and of course the fact that they never IR'd him means that never was the plan.

oldman 11-09-2018 11:51 PM

I don't think Morse is coming back, and if he does we shouldn't be thinking about any contract extension. Berry is another situation. He has the Chiefs over a barrel and he knows it. If he isn't back to practice during the bye week it's probably just best to say it's over.

EB is not coming back for the playoffs in perfect form to make an impact he hasn’t played or even practiced for 3 months now. He isn’t in football shape and he’s 30 years old. It’s all political at this point he may just get a coaching job after he retires.
