Hey man, last time we played the Browns in Arrowhead they almost beat us with Johnny Football. They have a great pass rush. This game will not be a gimme.

This.

The Chiefs need to be on their game against the Browns and the Cardinals. Anybody can be beaten.

I'm guessing Saunders, but eventually Zambesi. But overall a bizarre move. Seems this was to soften the blow to hue for getting fired. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Haslam had a hand in this. Bizarre how much pull Hue had with him.

But this seems ideal for the Chiefs going into Sunday.

For sure. The Browns get 8 weeks worth of film to study. Meanwhile, this is essentially like a week 1 game in terms of preperation for the Chiefs.

We won't have a great idea of what they'll do or their tendencies, scheme wise.

oldman 10-29-2018 11:19 AM

Two questions--

What about the children?

What's the under/over dollar damage the Haley's will do to their house?

I think it was necessary, for the same reason they couldn't promote Haley to HC. It sends a bad message.

To my understanding this was between both Haley and Hue. You can't pick one over the other.

he doesn't live in a house. Based on appearance, I'd guess he lives under a bridge somewhere.

Or maybe a storage unit.

Reid was funny in his press conference.

Q: Browns fired Hue, how do you prepare

A: Well the OC and DC are the same so you just keep on keeping on

Q: Well they fired Todd too

A: Well , ugh, OK then.

One would think a locker room with Todd Haley in it would be anything far from stable.

You can fire hue for incompetence especially after that shit show this week. Not promoting haley to HC is punishment enough. That would have looked a hell of a lot less dysfunctional. I think hue stayed this year because of haslem. And I'd bet firing haley had a lot to do with giving cause for firing a coach Haslam didn't want to fire.

Hard knocks, right there.

I sincerely feel bad for Haley. His professional life has been strange. Maybe he goes back to Arizona.

Hue is, was, and will always be a moron. Hue as a head coach? It's one of life's mysteries.

The Browns defense is good. I have every confidence that Dorsey will figure out a way to make it much worse, though.

Haley cussed them out when they named Al Interm HC. So, they fired him. Toddy is so emotional at times.

I don't think this is a 'applying for full time head coaching' type of interim coach.

More like 'get us through the season."

I think you missed my point.

The reason why Saunders has been overlooked as a HC candidate for the last almost 30 years was because he was TERRIBLE as the interim HC in SDG. When I say terrible, I don't mean wins and losses, I mean there are stories about how insufferable he was to deal with.

Not unlike Haley, actually.

I heard there's more than one reason Al Saunders will never be an NFL HC...

I wouldn't say he is a good coach, but I think he did an admirable job at helping start the train wreck the Chiefs needed to have the worst season in franchise history, causing for the save our chiefs movement and the hiring of Andy Reid.
