Based on a little discussion in the other thread, I think FAX needs a break. And anyway, with Mahomes, we don't have to rely on luck and mojo for wins anymore, so it seems fitting that starting the game thread should be an honor shared by many.

So if for no other reason than it's almost 12:30 and no one has started it yet, here's a game thread. In Mahomes we trust. Amen.

I'm actually not sure I've ever done it. It's a lot of pressure to test one's mojo in such as public way such as this. I figure the Bengals are about my level of competition, though. I feel good about this game.

I'm still pretty miserable. After another lengthy conversation with MY neurosurgeon, it was decided a fusion was the best route. The prospect of him un-pinching this nerve and alleviating my groin, hip, and lumbar pain is what ultimately led me to go with it. The worker's comp doctor is in agreement as well.

Surgery is 11/8 and can't come soon enough. Thank you for asking man

I got flexed out of the game. I have Phil Collins tickets tonight. Will be watching the score on my phone.

I had a dream, actually 2.... Mahomes comes out on fire this week. 5 TDs in the first half. I got so excited I woke up both times at halftime! The first dream was kinda a nightmare because I had forgot to set my fantasy lineup for some reason and I had Mahomes on the bench. So angry! Lol

I think the offense is fire this weekend, because they know they have to score every possession to win because our defense is ebolaAids. I think they are still pissed from leaving 2 scores in New England

Meaningless stat. Just like Andy Dalton is 2-0 vs. the Chiefs. And Bengals are 5-1 the last 6 games vs. the Chiefs. Last time the Chiefs beat a Bengals team, Carson Palmer was their QB.

The biggest question of this game isn't whether the Chiefs offense can perform. It is if the defense can not stab them in the back in the process.

This is clearly not accurate. 10 games is a 5x bigger sample size. And Dalton's two games vs KC have nothing in common while his TEN games on SNF have a very significant factor in common. I'll admit that the statistic should include ALL primetime games for more relevance and to not be cherry-picked (it's not like he's likely to be bad on Sunday primetime and good on Monday primetime), but guess what? His record in all primetime games is also completely terrible.

It's VERY reasonable to conclude a player known for making huge and costly mistakes, particularly in big games (late season/vs rivals/playoffs etc) will struggle when the games are magnified.

Not a good fantasy play unfortunately. Too many weapons, not enough balls.

Point was that all those stats are meaningless. Especially when you even admit they are cherry picked.

I do think the Chiefs will win, but I don't think it is as easy as walk in the park like most here believe. A simple analysis of this game shows you there are 2 great offenses matched up against poor defenses. We have a better offense, they have a slightly better defense. This game clearly shows that whichever shitty defense can play better today, will more than likely win. The offenses aren't the question this game.

I don't understand this, to be perfectly frank.

Sammy is open on almost every play ... from just open to wide the hell open.

Wally has to be seeing this on tape (like everybody else). Over the last couple of games, the enemy has been focusing mainly on Hill and Kelce and that's leaving Sammy 1 on 1 (most of the time).

The only thing I can surmise is that they're protecting his hamstring (makes zero sense) or he's the #3 read on every play even though the attention is drawn elsewhere (also makes zero sense).

A true football oddity, right there.
