I've always liked Moore, but that may be as much about remembering him torching Mizzou in the Sun Bowl as anything.

Henne sucks...........Bray is better than Henne............can't believe this news!

ChiefAshhole1056 03-15-2018 09:22 AM

I’d rather have Moore strictly because of his downfield mentality. God forbid Mahomes going down, but if he does I want a QB who will continually push the ball downfield (which makes me realize is what Reid wanted this whole time considering he’s held on to Bray for so long because of his deep ball prowess. **** I love this team).

SAGA45 03-15-2018 09:22 AM

I read Matt Moore and think Bud Dupree

I would rather you draft a backup, or just get Bray. Hell, I'd rather you get Brodie Croyle back in here.

FloridaMan88 03-15-2018 11:27 AM

Matt Moore would be the perfect back-up QB. He can step in and effectively run the offense if needed and he has no desire to be anything more than a back-up QB.

Make it happen, Veach.

Bray has never thrown an interception in an NFL game.

Rain Man, you've been on fire all day - lol. Seriously, I'd rather have Moore, but I'll take Henne if it means never having to see Bray on the file again. It's high time we let him go and get a 3rd stringer that costs us a fraction of what Bray does. I still can't believe he beat out Murray.

Years of studying under Smitty.

Easy 6 03-15-2018 06:16 PM

Either one of these guys is exactly what I was hoping for, they've both been starters and have knocked around the league a bit... very well seasoned veterans

RustShack 03-15-2018 06:41 PM

I’d rather have RG3, Johny Football, Geno Smith, or even Kap.

Broke dicks with talent that Reid can make look good and flip, but I do like the idea of a Vet Pat can lean on like Moore or Henne too.

Bring Bray back as a third QB, just because he knows the offense so well and also has a big arm.

It’s time for the Pat Mahomes show!

Sweet Daddy Hate 03-15-2018 08:37 PM

Better this than the absurd Booger love-fest that no one should ever have to read about.

Willie Lanier 03-15-2018 08:47 PM

Not just no, but **** no...

Please don't do this, Henne has nothing to offer Pat as a backup

RealSNR 03-15-2018 09:16 PM

My preferences for backup QB:

1. Matt Moore

2. Austin Davis

3. Don't ****ing bother. Just roll with a random asshole off the street and draft a rookie. I'd even consider throwing a 7th rounder at Cleveland and getting Kevin Hogan back. Hell, give Aaron Murray a call. If the guy isn't going to help much as a backup, then don't waste money. Roll with a shitty backup who at least knows the system and has SOME experience in the league.

Too risky... look at what happened to Green Bay last year when they didn’t have a legit back-up QB when Rodgers got injured (and conversely look at how Philly was rewarded for investing in a quality back-up QB).

Where is that quality backup QB coming from if Moore and Davis are off the board? Does the ****ing stork bring them?

The quality backup QBs will be gone in free agency. Henne isn't quality, NOR does he have any experience in Reid's system. He's pretty much worthless. If Mahomes goes down, are you really going to pay Henne more money to lose just as many games as an inexperienced dude would?

Chief Roundup 03-15-2018 09:33 PM

It seems as Henne, Moore, etc would want more than Bray. Just keep Bray for another year. If Mahomes goes down we are screwed anyway.

**** bray. Moore or henne might be able to scrape a couple wins together with this supporting cast. Bray cant even handle a ****ing 2 td lead against backups.

Ah I doubt there is that much difference between Bray and those other two. The rust would come off. Remember he was the 3rd string all season except for one game. We can probably get Bray for a couple/few million less. That could be the difference between getting a player such as a NT/S/CB that we need. It is a roll of the dice in some ways but at least Bray knows the playbook and language that supposedly takes a year or two to get down by some of the best QBs.

Simplicity 03-15-2018 09:40 PM

So how was the meeting?

BryanBusby 03-15-2018 09:40 PM

Bray has no business being anything more than a #3. Hennewagon and Moore are at least 2's.

Davis is interesting. I think I want a younger guy with starting experience. Davis and Geno are interesting. You want to find that next Keenum or Foles type.

Chief Roundup 03-15-2018 09:45 PM

Would be curious to see how many of you all also thought that Foles could never be more than a backup. Yet here he is a SB winning MVP QB.

No QB still available via free agency or the draft is going to save the Chiefs season if Mahomes misses the amount of time that Rodgers did this past season.

How about we try to trade for a late round pick for a backup better than what's left? Mahomes takes too many hits to not have a halfway decent backup.

Both Henne and Moore are the definition of halfway decent backup

Henne? Decent backup? Last time I saw him play was against the Panthers..........he totally sucked!

If the organization was fine with Bray as #2, they wouldn't be pursuing backups. Reid even mentioned they were looking into a #2 in the press conference with Mahomes.
