Duvernay-Tardif M.D.
I say go for it.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...on-his-jersey/ Chiefs’ Laurent Duvernay-Tardif finishing medical school, wants “M.D.” on his jersey Posted by Michael David Smith on February 20, 2018, 2:03 PM EST A handful of NFL players have suffixes like “Sr.” or “Jr.” or “III” after their last names on their jerseys. Now one player has an idea for a new one. Chiefs offensive lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, who is finishing up his medical degree this offseason, wants the back of his jersey to say, “Duvernay-Tardif M.D.” “I want to put Duvernay-Tardif M.D. on my jersey,” he told the Kansas City Star. “I’ve already started a conversation with the league office and they say that anything is possible.” Duvernay-Tardif has been talking about it for a while, writing in the Players Tribune last year that, “I’m hoping to become the first NFL player to step on the field with an M.D. in my back pocket — and maybe on the back of my jersey.” Whether the NFL would let him do it remains to be seen, but they should. This is hardly “He Hate Me.” This is the kind of accomplishment from a player that the league should celebrate. |
This is cool and he should do it, but you know that some podunk school in Boston will then give Tom Brady an honorary PhD in throwology or deflationary sciences.

Dont see anything wrong with this. So the NFL surely will.

There are rumors that now Alex is asking the league to have 'Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman' put on his jersey.

Nice....way better than "he hate me".

You do the same act on an internet message board. |
They're going to need to use a smaller font size.
How the **** does he do all of this stuff? I thought I read he was covering the Olympics in SK as a reporter right now. |
The best part is that it will be even harder for Aqib Talib to pronounce his name in the post-game interviews.

Weird perspective on this, but I wonder if he'll be even better now that he has a full offseason to prepare. I can't imagine he was fully productive training for football while also training to be a doctor. Not that he was slacking. But how much energy can you have?
