LDT, Morse and Wilson will be back for Denver.

If he is, where do you play him? Wiztmann hasn't been nearly as awful as Erving.

Hell, Devey was better than Erving.

Do you put him at right guard for a week, then switch him over to left against Denver?

Even if they are marginal, they are not going to play them for this game. Oakland is weak on defense, so maybe they figure to let them be good an healthy for the road trip to Dungver.

I would put Ehinger back at LG and move Witzmann to RG. Witzmann HAS to be better than Erving at this point.

I get what you're saying but I'm not sure how easy it would be for Witzmann to switch sides in a short week.

Every Thursday night game seems to be an ugly trashfest, and I expect this one will be no different, esp with the patchwork o-line continuing

Why I HATE Thursday Night Football... Ugly game coming for sure. Hopefully the offense can have just enough to cover for our shit defense.

Yeah, Thursday night games should be for the season opener and Thanksgiving, period. Have some Saturday games after the college regular season is over if you have to, but get rid of this Thursday night crap.

I think they did similar things with injuries during stretches last year but with 3 games in like 11 days, it's probably smart to play it safe

Gotta give the coaching staff and front office credit though. 3 or really 4 straight years ravaged with injuries and they keep winning

I think Reid is leaving him out there exclusively as a left side of the line back up. Or something.

Erving not playing like garbage is still no excuse for some of the really really basic shit he can't freakin figure out. I'd much rather Reid put Ehinger out there on the right side.

Obviously they would have a better chance of playing if it was a Sunday game.

Just another reason why these Thursday night games... especially for key divisional games are a BAD idea.

This sucks, the depth of this team is being stretched too thin.

The book is still out on Witzmann.

Veach wisely extended him for a bag of peanuts at the end of the preseason. He's here for 2018.

I'm not predicting he'll be the next great LG for us or anything, but I've noticed he's continuing to improve every week, little by little. It's very likely even if Ehinger gets healthy that Witzmann never gives up his starting LG spot, and it also wouldn't surprise me if he continued to be the starter in 2018.

At the very least, we shouldn't assume that a still not-quite 100% Ehinger is necessarily better than Witzmann.

We've got our QB. We've got a triad of elite skill players on offense in Hunt, Kelce, Hill. Conley, Wilson and Harris have proven to be nice contributors and Robinson seems to be on his way.
Peters is a star, Mitchell is great, we have 3 new young ILB's.

We're afforded the ability to build our trenches.

And not an Alex Smiff to be seen on that list

I didn't know the extent of Hunt or Hill's injuries (The only TV I had access to was in a cafe with a bunch of loud Squealer fans), so I got scared when I saw their names here. Glad to see they were full all week.

I'm sick of drafting tackles who get converted to guard. And I'm sick of drafting guards.

We need a real swing tackle. We've been significantly ****ed every time an injury has happened to Fisher or our RT ever since 2015. I'm tired of moving over a glorified guard and having him play OT, and I'm especially tired of having random nobodies with no hope of development (like Donald Stephenson) be the guy.

You want to improve the stability of the line? Draft a real OT for ****'s sake.

Well to be fair Ehinger was a tackle in college so he technically counts. Witzmann was a tackle in college too. I'd like to draft another one who has played primarily tackle but has versatile at G in case of emergency.

We're just ****ed right now. Last year our DL got hurt at the rate of 1776 front line military soldiers. This year it's the OL.

We probably need one more corner but aside from that, we need to stack up on the fatties for our young QB.
