My friend is a very knowledgeable fan from Dallas. He swears Philly is the best team in the NFC. And he hates Philly. Certainly gave me pause, since he's way more in tune to them, as I would be more in tune with Denver or Oakland.

Lane Johnson off the PEDs looks bad, and Houston looks really good.

Jason Peters has a groin injury, their running game looks a little meh. Good WRs and TEs.

Defensively they have a good front 7 but bad secondary

Same could be said about a team that won the SB a couple of years ago against the bottom garbage can scum of the division

Going through the Playoff Predictor app, I kept thinking San Diego would be the most obvious "letdown" game of the first quarter of the season. Philly would take that billet had it been following a typical week 1 Sunday game.

An Eagles fan buddy of mine and I bet on this game a month ago. After discussions and looking at rosters we set the line at....you guessed it.....Chiefs -4.5. Wish I could predict the actual outcomes like that. As for the game, I feel surprisingly confident the Chiefs win this game going away. The Eagles look pretty good but the Redskins are trash and that 30 points is 23 if the refs don't blow an easy call. They have no running game and a shit o-line. 27-13 good guys.

Makes me nervous we are favored against a tough team on opening day. That has not worked out so good in the past.

It is probably just the memories of other Opening Day Chiefs blowout losses I sat through out there- but this game worries me.

Despite our incredible win at NE there is a ton we don't know about our team yet. Is Alex mind set for real? Can the OL really road grade DLs for Hunt on a regular basis? Can we cover a TE without Berry?

I had the displeasure of watching the Eagles/Skins game as that was my locally televised game.

Honestly, I think last week was the worst thing Alex could have done... he just took the bar and said "phhhtt, to hell with this, raise it up two levels". Now, anything close to what was acceptable 10 days ago is no longer accepatable.

I think the emotional QB roller coaster has just begun and y'all are in for one hell of a ride. Buckle up. Not saying they'll lose, they'll probably win, but damn the Alex love right now is crazy high and it's going to evaporate quick.

I wouldnt give up the points just yet - season is too young. The NFL can change weekly. One week a team can be on TOP OF THE WORLD, and the next on the bottom.
