Jesus Christ. Transformers has to be setting a record for the shittiest franchise that has made the most cash.
|
|
Nope
|
Think I've seen this one.?.
|
Maybe after the first movie but not now.
|
Am I just not getting this because my parents were cheap and bought me Go-Bots instead of transformers or is this as shit as I think it is?...

I hated the way they've done Bumblebee up to this point.

Wow. Got to give them credit. I thought they'd already set the bar for useless movies with the last five.

Good to see the VW Beetle back. Not getting my expectations up though...

preview is wrong, it's the go-bots movie, weird format though due to copyright laws. :thumb: |
I'm still waiting for the Banana Splits origin story movie.

It's nice to see a live action Transformer that doesn't look like debris from an exploded car was glued onto a Terminator skeleton, at least.
|
This concept stings.

Just let it die please

On the other hand:
The Micronauts had a comic series for a time from Marvel, which included a convoluted sci-fi plot line about a micro-universe and an evil bearded baddie performing terrible genetic alterations on poor people. A movie based on the toy line has been in development for a while with JJ Abrams' Bad Robot set to produce and Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick penning the script. Back in 2013 they mentioned they were working on it, saying: "We've written a couple of drafts of Micronauts and it's in the Paramount system now. We developed it with Bad Robot, and it's probably not what you might imagine a Micronauts movie to be. It departs from the comic wildly, so if you hope it's loyal to the comic you'll be disappointed in that particular sense. However, it's very, very different and very, very cool." Who knows what will remain from their script by the time it comes to the big screen in 2020? http://www.digitalspy.com/movies/tra...-transformers/ |
Make it stop. Just make it stop.

what i really want to see is a proper movie version of 'battle of the planets' or 'G-Force'... it's been done in japanese i believe but that was one of the most dramatic kids cartoons i can remember. :thumb: mmmmmmmmm...... princess :P ETA: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOmFuuuuuuu*******inGod!!! the voice that gets me off as princess is the same voice of judy from back to the future... i mean the jetsons ........ niiiiiiice!! |

During the opening credit sequence the team jumps out of an aircraft and skydives. She tumbles, and as a kid I appreciated that they colored her panties differently than her thighs: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/acOnskcyrtA" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe> I think Star Blazers (Space Battleship Yamato) would make a fun reboot. |

dumb.
the first one was a good movie. the rest since then has been crap. |
I'm digging the original designs... Hopefully the story will be decent

the only thing i have a problem with for now, is how can optimus take the shape of the truck, when we all know he doesn't arrive on earth until the first transformers movie. :thumb:

20 reviews so far on Rotten Tomatoes 95%.
Wont last obviously but positive reviews coming out |
It might actually end up with a decent score. I've seen a ton of reviewers saying it's the best Transformers movie. Not having Bay involved made a huge difference and it feels like a Spielberg 80s movie.
|
My kid loves bumblebee, ill probably take him to see it. Im sure its trash lol.

It looks decent for a summer popcorn flick.
|
I've sworn off these movies, but Soundwave and Starscream look pretty dang cool.
|
98% on 40 reviews on RT. Dang.
|
What the hell? Why did they get such an amazing indie director for this? This gives me hope for Venom's sequels, in a weird way.

My girlfriend said "If you watch the last 50 Shades of Gray movie with me I'll go watch this with you."
I said "Have fun watching your movie at home while I'm at the movies watching Bumblebee." |
After seeing this trailer for the 745th time on Sunday, I noticed that one of the critics acclaims that they attached to it said, "the best transformers movie to date" (I'm actually paraphrasing but that's the gist) and I wondered who wrote that review? Had to be the guy who wrote the script or the director bc I guarantee you its not the best one and also, that isn't a high bar to set...

went to the theater with some buddies on Christmas to see The Mule and of course it was all sold out so we settled on seeing the next showing of Bumblebee and it was such a pleasant surprise . Very glad Michael Bay didn't direct it. Whoever did direct it (too lazy to look it up right now) did a pretty damn good job at the pacing and the humor was a nice touch thru out too. Hailee Steinfeld (sp?) was a great lead (very charming and better than Shia LeButt ) . Would recommend it to folks of all ages and you don't have to be a Transformers fan to enjoy this one
|
Loved this! Only major downside for me was
Spoiler!
|
Loved this movie. Even the cheesy parts were supposed to be cheesy. It was like a John Hughes movie with a few bots.
Go see it. |
:cuss: do they explain how the **** optimus is in truck form, when we all know he was just a bot until he entered earth's atmosphere? :D

I was watching it thinking this movie had a little ET in it. Then I saw the end credits and Spielberg was a producer on this one. The issue with the past movies is they concentrate on the world is going to die. These big metal things are going to save us. They left out the “real” human being story or interaction. I think that’s why it worked better.
