Not me, my kid is WAY into it. We've been to four shows lately and into the pits a couple times. He asked the driver of max d if he was going to learn a front flip at one. He told him he was working on it already.

He knows everything about monster trucks.

That front flip was amazing, but the back flip afterwards didn't seem to work out well.

Do you practice something like this? If so, how?

It took him a bit to get this trick lined up. You can see him make a few runs at it but keeps getting kicked sideways on the initial jump.

And yeah, the flip was amazing, but no way I'd sit watching a truck drive back and forth all those times just to see that one trick.

My son and I go every year to Monster Jam. Skys the limit, whatever he wants... It's a hell of a weekend. He has loved it since he was 4.

There's no need for it to be loud. If I ran those racing associations, I'd require really good mufflers on all the cars. The crowds would love me for it, I bet.

There's nothing like the feel of a Top Fuel Dragster going full throttle . :thumb:

Put in some ear plugs and put ear muffs over them.

No one cares about the noise you hear, it's the noise you feel in your chest and your groin.
The air displacement when the cars fly by, the smell, and the sting in your eyes from the burning fuel.

I'm not even a racing guy. Don't care about cars. But, everyone should attend at least one significant racing event in their life.

And even Top Fuel has nothing on jet cars, sonically.

Jet engines pulse right through you, as much felt as heard.

They're not as impressive overall because they're actually simpler engineering and are slower in the 1/4, but as a first-person sensory experience, they're unbeatable.

The flip in the OP was cooler but that was a much better all-around run

Monster Truck Madness was a bad ass game.

I'd love to be one of the track tech's. Being down there on the track, I imagine there's quite a difference than say...ProStock?

I have a buddy who used to try and get me to ride along up to Seattle to watch the big boys mostly cause of my ADA parking pass, lol.

Years back they shortened the track for these guys to bring the speeds down after that ol boy was killed.
Have they ever went back to the old distance?
How about the rigs, have their speeds now caught up to the old longer distance if not?
