One of my favorite Chiefs games endings here.

I always remembered this vividly but couldn't remember when it was and didn't remember anyone else ever mentioning it. I happened to find this video, and check it out. The whole game is worth watching, but if you want to cheat go to about the 2:25:00 mark and watch the end.

You'll need to sign up for an account to watch it: http://www.kcchiefsgames.com/member-...ers1997MNF.htm

I was only 2 in 1981 but I'll have to watch that game.

Thanks for the link KCtotheSB.

KC did the ****ing for once. Rudd was an absolute moron but heads up play by Tate to Green late. Then tack on the penalty and automatic Andersen from that range.

i have lots of them but this one always comes to mind.

I was a HS Junior, and vaguely remember thinking "Maybe, Levy will be a decent coach...." and that is about all.

Stoyanovich's FG against the Donks in 97. One of the first memories I had as a young chiefs fan

That was an awesome game. Still have an old VHS of it in my childhood boxes now tucked in my parents' basement.

That was also the game DT recorded his 100th sack.

This is prob my favorite that I can remember. Followed directly by the playoff win at Houston Oilers.

That was so great. I specifically remeber thinking that it had no chance to make it since Stoyanovich's leg was so weak at that point.

Ah, regular season magic.

There's just nothing that quite compares to it.

Dave Lane 07-03-2016 10:03 AM

I keep trying to remember the game where Derrick Thomas and Neil Smith broke Elway in half and stomped his lifeless corpse into the ground. I can't seem to find it on Youtube but I really want to see that.

Funny thing; I was watching a video of Mark Schlereth the other day and he was talking about Sharpe. He said they hated him running his mouth. He said that Broncos would actually tell opposing players (paraphrase), "Please. Go shut him the hell up. If you have to rough him up a little I'm not going to stop it."

Maybe the loudest non-record breaking fan roar in Arrowhead history....was deafening during that return...

how do you feel about Hardees?

Joe_Camel 07-03-2016 04:25 PM

Seems like a good place to put this. The NFL is adding 96 classic games to YouTube in August. Three per team http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...d-game-winners

Spott 07-03-2016 06:40 PM

I was a little kid, but I remember watching that game in 81. I didn't realize that it was the home opener, though. I assume that was Joe Delaney's first game.

cdcox 07-03-2016 07:27 PM

I remember listening to the ending of the steeler game on the radio.

cdcox 07-03-2016 07:30 PM

11 to 89 against the Raiders on Monday night was a sweet one.
