I'm going with a double Filet O Fish, it happens to be a damn fine sandwich... the soft steamed bun, chunk of perfectly white fish, topped with cheese and by FAR the best tartar sauce around... I always get extra tartar

Diet Coke is nasty. Diet Pepsi is good. Diet Mt. Dew is good. Diet Sunkist, Diet Ginger Ale both good. Diet Dr. Pepper > all of them.

First, I don't drink diet anything.

Second, Dr. Pepper sucks ass, so I would have to think a diet version would suck even more ass.

As for the McPick 2, I'd go with two Big Macs (hold the secret sauce) with a large order of fries (they have the best french fries) and an ice cold Coke (they only cost a buck)

I don't eat at McDonalds, and it's not some "fast food is garbage" reason. I have nothing against fast food. McDonald's is nasty, bottom of the barrel fast food. There is literally no other fast food restaurant save maybe White Castle or Ghetto White Castle (Krystal) that's worse.

One of life's simple pleasures - sticking your hand in a McDonald's bag to find the last golden french fry that always escapes from the container when it's placed in the bag. It's like popping bubble wrap, or feeling mud squish between your toes.

Id probably put Taco Bell and Little Ceasers below them. At least McDs has healthy options

I usually pass on both McDonald's and Burger King.

I got tired of McDonald's after working there as a teenager. And when I was growing up, we lived on an army base in Germany for four years and Burger King was the only restaurant on base, so I got burnt out on that as well.

They have salads that are decent

I would eat Taco Bell or Little Caesar's before McDonalds. McD's is garbage.

The McDs menu is like a base model/rental fleet Chevrolet from 15 years ago. Basic, flavorless and plastic.

Oh!! I still have a twinge of nostalgia for the dehydrated/reconstituted onions on the basic hamburger.

Their pizza sucks but the pepperoni or garlic cheese bread is pretty good.

I can tolerate breakfast at McCracken better than anything else.

Fries suck unless they are out of frier and freshly salted which is like winning the lottery. Once they cool down I could blindfold you and bet you couldn't tell the difference between fry or the box they came out of.

It took me forever to give English muffins a chance after being given an egg mcmuffin as a kid. Still haven't tried a poached egg.

Little Caesar's is basically like having someone heat up a low quality frozen pizza for you. It's cheap, shitty pizza. Dump some hot sauce on there and it's edible. I'd still rate it above McD's.

I'm with you Easy Filet O Fish is there best sandwich. I can go extra tarter it good but normal is pretty hard to keep from wearing it. If you eat and roll better to scrape it off. In late 70s early 80s you could get that sandwich for 59 cents and tax ID get two and a coke.

Yeah, once I had a decent English Muffin toasted with real butter, my outlook changed as well. Doesn't make the McMuffin any better, though.

As a kid in the 60s, I thought Micky Ds was pretty good.

I am not sure if my taste buds became more refined as I aged, or the quality went downhill as they expanded their menu.

I actually think it's the latter.

Chick-fil-A has really beaten the shit out of nearly everyone in the fast food industry, especially McDonald's.

The one and only time I tried the promo I got two of the Filet O Fish. I hadn't had one in years and it sounded good. I just cant down two Big Macs anymore like I could in my teens, 20's and 30's.

They have a contract with Coke to increase the amount of syrup in the product, thus making all their soda taste sweeter than the competition. Also $1 Large Cokes, and I don't have to get out of my car, it's pretty nice.

I'm not sure they increase it, I think they just do it how Coke wants them too. Other places I think dilute to make more money. It also has to do with how they store the syrup, how frequently they get them, and even how they do their lines and carbonation.

Wendy's is good. I actually preferred them before they changed their burger patties. I liked it when their patties were flatter and bigger and kinda draped over the bun.

I like an occasional Wendy's Frosty and thats about it for that place. They were good a long time ago now just run of the mill. Maybe im just old and my taste buds have dried up. They put in a knew Texas Toms near me I loved then way back when just haven't been interested to try them out.

I once overheard a punk kid ask if they could have his burger as a circle instead of a square. He said he didn't like squares and asked why they couldnt just cut the sides off for him and why they had square burgers in the 1st place. Then argued and threatened to contact Dave Thimas about it. It was hilarious

I don't care for Wendy's at all. The food just seems nasty. Even lower quality than McDonald's. Soggy fries, questionable beef patties, and crummy looking restaurants. I ate a spicy chicken sandwich there years ago and I couldn't help but wonder if all of the heat was added just to mask the substandard meat.

Most fast food is god awful and I do my best to stay far clear from it; McDonald's especially. My guilty pleasures are backyard burgers chilicheese fries and Goodcents...but sadly it seems Goodcents is going downhill.
