Duffy with the complete game shutout. Calling it now.

Nice work, Duff.

Esky swings at Ball 1, 2, and 3.

Mr. Laz 06-01-2016 06:24 PM

I wish Morales would stop doing his Butler impersonation.

Good God - Boston and Baltimore have combined for 12 runs in the first 2.5 innings.

I foresee great things when we get to Baltimore next week.

C3HIEF3S 06-01-2016 06:28 PM

That picture of Cain is from at least 3 years ago.

So far, we have the "good" version of Duffy and Morales.

Whit looks like he's going to be here a while. Has anyone suggested that he should hitting #1?

And why is Omar playing? It seemed like he had been effectively phased out.

No Eibner, so Dyson goes to left, Whit goes to 3rd (from 2nd), Omar gets 2nd. They are quite literally running out of players.

cosmo20002 06-01-2016 06:39 PM

Is this thing on?

Agreed on both accounts. Merrifield is faster, more selective at the plate, and gets on more. I feel if this keeps up during the road trip, the move should happen (though we know Ned won't do it).

Coach 06-01-2016 06:39 PM

This Merrifield kid is looking like a good keeper. I know it's small sample size, but he looks like he passes the eye test.

ChiefsCountry 06-01-2016 06:40 PM

And Omar is even hitting now.

Well, players do need some days off in between, so I'm guessing Cheslor is getting his day off today and I would guess Merrifield will get his tomorrow. Again, just a guess.

Munson 06-01-2016 06:45 PM

Butera is so much better at the plate this year.

Coach 06-01-2016 06:46 PM

I don't know what Butera did on his offseason, but it looks like he did something different, and it's having a positive effect on his offensive game.

lewdog 06-01-2016 06:46 PM

Archer has been solid for 3 years straight. Having a bit of a rough go to start the year.

And as long as they are generally winning, probably not a chance in hell Ned takes Esky from the leadoff.

Ned has two pennants and a World Series that had Esky at the top of the lineup. No matter how much sense it doesn't make, it would take a meteor to Kauffman Stadium to get Esky out of that position in the lineup.

siberian khatru 06-01-2016 06:50 PM

"We" as in a speech-language pathologist and an above-average college student? Unlikely, as I struggle enough just waking up to go to class on most days.

baitism 06-01-2016 06:55 PM

Jerok 06-01-2016 07:06 PM

Wow, the Royals are on a tear, what a great May, usually our worst month I think. Let's keep this hot streak on as long as we can, and then get hot again after the All-Star game and hot again in October. It's the Royals way!

Jerok 06-01-2016 07:07 PM
