I'm an avid smoker that's annoyed by marijuana culture. Anyone else?

Reggae is dumb. The color combo of Red/Green/Yellow can suck my bawls.

Shirts, socks, patches etc of a weed leaf =dumb.

Bragging about smoking pot = dumb.

And many, many other cultural weed references i find dumb as well.

Some people enjoy coffee....but they don't have to throw that shit in your face all the time. Weed is no different.

I love reggae, wear that color combo a lot, and could care less if anyone knows I smoke or not. It IS a culture. Like it or not. No different than any other just not your thing. Country music is dumb, cowboy hats in this day and age are dumb, confederate flags are dumb. Country culture is dumb.
Guess what that shit is popular all over the place (for reasons I will never understand). I guess you're just a closet smoker? Smoking is a way of life to me. It's what I've done since I was 14, so I embrace the culture as its about all I know.

I smoke quite frequently, as a family member supplies me with weed for free, delivered. I haven't paid for weed in years. But to me it's not a culture or a way of life. It's something you do when you're bored and done with work and family. Like sipping a beer on a hot Sunday afternoon. Some people like a glass of wine to end their night, or a cold beer when they get off work. I don't drink, so i prefer a bowl when i unwind.

Pictures of weed plants on your socks is for stupid kids that want to give the impression that they're rebellious, cool or trendy.

Glamorizing it like it's some great thing is just dumb. It's not that great, sorry. It's just weed. And it seems like half the people that listen to Reggae only listen to it because of Bob Marley and the association with weed.

When i see these idiots running around with giant weed leaf pictures on their shirt i just roll my eyes. Oh yay, you smoke weed, want a ****ing cookie?

It's not that big a deal. I wish everyone would stop acting like it is.

My issue isn't with weed or those that smoke it. My issue is with those who feel the need to glamorize it and flaunt it.

I just wanna smack those people and tell them, "It's just ****ing weed, NOBODY cares".

I'm kind of with you here. You would never catch me wearing anything that would identify me as a smoker. Mainly because I like my job and if anyone caught on they'd fire me, which would seriously cramp my lifestyle.

It's not a big deal for you because you've been smoking for free for years. The decorated ones are declaring a rebellion in a very loud and obnoxiously colored way. But its more declaration of independence bred with **** the police, than an adaptation of a culture.

And my yearly pot leggings are cute.

Yeah, I'd say most people that listen to reggae are because of Bob Marley. He kind of helped create and define the genre. I'd also throw Sublime into that mix as far as bringing people to the genre.

Weed isn't something I do when I'm bored, it's something I do a lot. I can do it at work or wherever I go basically. It's how I start my day, finish my day, and make it through the hours in between. Of course everyone does it differently and no way is right or wrong. But I'd say most pot smokers are not Ike you in the way you feel about it. If you don't feel that connection with it, then that's your prerogative. But don't get it twisted plenty of hip hop artists, rock artists, and surely lots of other types artists sing about it, and glamorize it. Not just reggae.

Phish must be an acquired taste because I hear so many people say they love them but man I just don't get it.

2 main reasons people love Phish;

1. Musicianship. They're all 4 masters of their crafts. Mike Gordon is one of the best bass players in the world, Trey is one of the best guitarists, etc.

2. The energy at their shows. It's indescribable. You'd have to experience it to "get it".

Musically, they're rock/funk with a lot in common with improvisational jazz, which is also a pretty polarizing style of music.
