I'm excited. Except for the east.. Cancel that side

DrRyan 04-16-2016 12:12 PM

Hard to get excited for round one. By round two most of the series should be very good though.

OkC uniforms..not sure what I think of them

Deberg_1990 04-16-2016 09:35 PM

Can we just flash forward to Spurs vs Warriors in the west?

Everything else is a waste of time.

Either of these teams will probably sweep whoever comes out of the east.

Pasta Little Brioni 04-16-2016 11:42 PM

What is with the lame ass "sports center at night"? It's bad enough they have the grey anchor pics with creepy smiles and the try hard "stylish" pics in the promos. Wow

You really think the league will allow that to happen? The results are even more influenced than the NFL.

And so that is why I think the Warriors are a decoy.
They baited everyone to pick them to beat the Lakers in season.
They've already gotten their 2 deep playoff runs with tge niners and baseball Giants while tge Niners stadium was being built.
I think they either make the finals and lose or the don't make finals at all. Last year ,two key Cavaliers were injured..maybe this time is different

Pasta Little Brioni 04-17-2016 02:02 AM

It is weird how whenever a team gets a new stadium they magically become good

Either just before or just after the build.

Rams,Ravens,Titans,Cardinals,Niners.
5 immediate examples and everyone says it's just coincidence.

He's certainly quitting on his team tonight. LeBron would get destroyed by the media/jokes like you if he sat out for something as tame as a sprained ankle.

Am I surprised by the double standard, though? Of course not.

2 questions as I don't know much about his injury:

How do you know he couldn't go tonight?

How do you know it wasn't Kerr's decision to sit him?

The Warriors have the luxury of resting Curry. Nobody expects the Rockets to do anything this series.

If it was a game 7, or they were down a game, or if it was the Spurs or the Finals, thats a different story.

That should tell you two things. It isn't an accomplishment to make the playoffs in the NBA and the West is as weak as it has been in decades.

It makes the Eastern Conference terrible obviously. The West used to be in an entirely different stratosphere to it even 2-3 years ago, though. Now it has reached the point where there are only 4 good teams.

Quit being stupid. Curry's career almost ended because of his bad ankles it is better to be cautious with it especially against the shitty Rockets and lazy Harden. Curry will be the 2-time MVP and lol at those who thought Harden deserved it last year.

I don't care what Curry does to prepare himself for the Spurs series (the only series the Warriors have any chance of losing), but it's obvious that if LeBron did the same thing that Curry did last night, the reaction would be entirely different. It's a complete double standard.

no they arent. Other wise they would have to be considered the greatest team ever.
They won 73. Now they will either lose this round or the next or the finals so that people will forever waste time about them and the Bulls= who's the best, pointless conversations.

at some point all their jump shooting is going to go cold and Curry will roll around on the court in pain

Nobody gives a damn about what Kevin Love does or doesn't do.

LeBron would be crushed if he sat out a playoff game for any kind of injury and you all know it. Hell, he was crushed when severe cramps forced him to the bench for a few minutes just two years ago.

Whether he does or doesn't is really besides the point. Curry is being cast as smart/cautious for sitting out a game while if LeBron did the same he would be called soft.

mcaj22 04-19-2016 01:41 PM

He's right, I remember people on this very forum crushing Lebron for sitting in that Spurs game cause the arena ran out of air conditioning for him.

Well look how often lebron bitches out in things when players muscle through it. I don't blame him to much for cramp issued but the ac issue was total bitching out. Doesn't help he flops like a fish

LeBron has never once sat out a playoff game like Curry just did (and he's played hurt through many of them). Do you not see how you're proving my point about the double standard? LMAO

I understand your point but personally I wouldn't call him a bitch for sitting out a series where it's a guarantee win. Lebron doesn't help his image sometimes but he's a cool guy

Curry almost went grant hill status due to his ankles .. If lebron had a recurring shoulder problem early in his career and it happened now.. I would understand sitting out

I think there's some truth to this, but :

1) Who cares?
2) LeBron made his bed, now he gets to lie in it. He made enough decisions along the way to turn people off that the judging is inevitable. I think he'll survive.

Of course he will. He's long past the point of giving a shit what anybody thinks of him and knows he's held to a different standard than any other player in the league. But it's always enjoyable to point out hypocrisy when you see it.
