Al Molinaro, passed at 96.

Loved him on Happy Days. Loved the burgers at his stand in Bannister Mall.

I have never watched Happy Days, but my grandma and mom used to when my mom was growing up...they liked it.

I remember the 'Mork' episode mentioned in the story as being one of my favorite Happy Days episodes when I was a kid. The Fonz was invincible!

I don't remember his resteraunts? Must have been in the early days of Bannister Mall?

RIP cookie

I'm sure he wasn't like Frank Thomas of Wendy's, starting out personally cooking the burgers and building an empire, etc. But it was more than 'Paris Hilton for Carl's Jr.' doing nothing more than appearing in a commercial or two. He was the face and name of the franchise, and I'm fairly sure he got an ownership interest in the venture.

Pepe Silvia 10-31-2015 01:05 PM

His fast food stand was awesome, had it in a mall a few times when I was a kid.

Also, speaking of memoria, I've been meaning to thank you for the touching one to Michael Clarke Duncan you've been maintaining in your signature line this past few months. OG Kingpin, never forget.

And its Ralph MALPH.

As I'm sure baby lee knows, Pat Morita's character was actually not named Arnold, but a Japanese name which I can't remember but I'm sure baby lee knows. He bought Arnold's and people assumed that was his name and called him that, and he just went with it. That's what I recall.

He also played Lamont's friend Ah Choo on Sanford and Son.

That said, yeah. That's the definition of an 'extra.' A concert venue pre-CGI? Hey, that's me! 2,433rd from the left! No, not the hand appearing from behind the pillar, 5 over from there.

Since you asked, they're a couple of the leads in 'You're the Worst.'

It's a sitcom in FX where, the more you describe it, the worse [read: cliched] it sounds. But it's so superbly cast and written that it might be the best sitcom on TV right now, at least until Veep comes back.

What gives the line on the show an ironic tinge, was Barney's was at one time being infamous for not allowing gays despite being in the heart of West Hollywood.

Now here in the aughts, it's where chubbys perform fellatio on minor celebs, per the show. Can't be an accident.
