Meh...take the rest of the season off...rest up for next year. We know your back is still probably hurting too.
|
Outstanding. Perhaps we see a widening crack in the run defense this week? Bring me that 1-15.

Part of me thinks this is just a cover-up to let him rest his back more so they don't have to admit they rushed him back too fast from injury. He just played the most snaps of the season so far against Chicago.

He looked extra slow during the Bears game. I think dude is messed up. They probably rushed him back before he was healthy enough to play without pain.
|
Be prepared to see lots of little injuries. This is what happens when the ship is sinking and pro's don't want to risk getting major injuries during a season that doesn't matter.
|
He wasn't worth a damn when he was in anyway.
He clearly never got into football shape. He was getting stonewalled on every play. His play this year hurt us as much or more than anything we've faced defensively. And yeah, these guys are checking out. |
IR him.
|
It's week 6 and I already don't give a shit.
Lovely. |

From as excited as I've ever been about this team to completely ambivalent in less than 2 months. I really couldn't give a **** less what happens to this team for the remainder of the year. |

Meanwhile, you can bet your last dollar we haven't seen the last of Smiff yet. |
I think we'll improve with Poe out, actually. Howard playing full time at NT will create more penetration up the middle.
This is bad for our quest to get a high draft pick |

Perfect. Rest that ankle and that back. Keep losing baby

I plan to watch the Vikings game, but if Smith is the starter I'm done with this team for however long it takes to be rid of him. Dead serious. The Planet can keep me informed on how many clowns are currently spilling out of the car until he's gone. |
Sit out and have a juice, Poe.

To go from what I felt going into the season, to absolute oblivion 5 weeks later is the final straw. The Chiefs will always be my team, there are no mistresses... but until things change I'm sick of having a broken heart. |

You ever see how many Cubs fans there are across the country? They are ****ing everywhere. They should be an inspiration to all of us Chiefs fans in how to stick it out with your chosen team through thick and thin. Don't be a pussy Easy. That's not you bro. |

I was still wet behind the ears the last time we did anything meaningful, and this year has simply killed me... haven't cared less about football since before I started watching it. If we had a legit QB, even the loss of Charles wouldn't have to mean the end of the dream... but we don't, so it is. Sick and tired of being sick and tired. |

Cue CPers posting that he's a wuss and should just play through it like they would.
|
And Smith is still healthy.

Like it matters at this point. The fork is already stuck in the roast and the fat lady is singing.
|
Rest him so he is ready to go next season
|
How pissed would you be if we actually beat Denver in week 2 and then followed that up with this current mess? I'd be more pissed.

I'm already heartbroken. I'd take that win against Denver in a ****ing heartbeat. I ****ing hate that team. |
Quote:
It sent a message of "even with near perfect circumstance, we aren't good enough to beat the Broncos this year" I firmly believe that if we had won that game, we would be 4-1 right now. |
As far as Poe goes, hopefully they don't try to rush him back again because it's obvious that his back was never fully healed.
|
Doesn't matter anyway. We have the worst QB in the league.

He came back a couple months after surgery on a herniated disk. Meanwhile Fisher is out 2 months because he stubbed his toe. |

That would be like being heartbroken if George Cooney never got a title shot. |
