Meh...take the rest of the season off...rest up for next year. We know your back is still probably hurting too.

Hammock Parties 10-14-2015 11:38 AM

Outstanding. Perhaps we see a widening crack in the run defense this week? Bring me that 1-15.

Poe is the worst run defender on the Chiefs defensive line. And he's been playing poorly - most likely a residual of the back. He hasn't had much impact, if any, this season for the defense.

ChiefAshhole1056 10-14-2015 11:41 AM

Part of me thinks this is just a cover-up to let him rest his back more so they don't have to admit they rushed him back too fast from injury. He just played the most snaps of the season so far against Chicago.

Is that a reference to Baby Lee's video?

He looked extra slow during the Bears game. I think dude is messed up. They probably rushed him back before he was healthy enough to play without pain.

Molitoth 10-14-2015 11:48 AM

Be prepared to see lots of little injuries. This is what happens when the ship is sinking and pro's don't want to risk getting major injuries during a season that doesn't matter.

DJ's left nut 10-14-2015 11:51 AM

He wasn't worth a damn when he was in anyway.

He clearly never got into football shape. He was getting stonewalled on every play. His play this year hurt us as much or more than anything we've faced defensively.

And yeah, these guys are checking out.

The Franchise 10-14-2015 11:58 AM

IR him.

Yup.

From as excited as I've ever been about this team to completely ambivalent in less than 2 months.

I really couldn't give a **** less what happens to this team for the remainder of the year.

Atleast they have a decent QB these days.

Meanwhile, you can bet your last dollar we haven't seen the last of Smiff yet.

RealSNR 10-14-2015 12:27 PM

I think we'll improve with Poe out, actually. Howard playing full time at NT will create more penetration up the middle.

This is bad for our quest to get a high draft pick

Poe has legit injuries and with his back issues, it's no contest. Fisher, well, he just doesn't have what it takes.

Are you seriously saying some high ankle sprains are legit and some are bogus?

This is why I don't get when people rip on gambling on games or playing fantasy. Literally zero reason to give any shits about the NFL this season, outside of those two reasons.

No, I was making the reference to his back and whatever else that entails. I have a permanent injury in my spine but when it gets to me, it feels like I have a fish hook in my heel and a string pulling up my leg. Back injuries seldom just affect the exact area of injury.

Mother****erJones 10-14-2015 02:13 PM

Perfect. Rest that ankle and that back. Keep losing baby

Yeah, pretty much.

I plan to watch the Vikings game, but if Smith is the starter I'm done with this team for however long it takes to be rid of him.

Dead serious.

The Planet can keep me informed on how many clowns are currently spilling out of the car until he's gone.

You aren't going to watch a game until mid-2016?

Wont watch or go to a game until we have a legit QB.

To go from what I felt going into the season, to absolute oblivion 5 weeks later is the final straw.

The Chiefs will always be my team, there are no mistresses... but until things change I'm sick of having a broken heart.

I'd stay away from sports in general then.

You ever see how many Cubs fans there are across the country? They are ****ing everywhere. They should be an inspiration to all of us Chiefs fans in how to stick it out with your chosen team through thick and thin.

Don't be a pussy Easy. That's not you bro.

Just because I'm not attending or watching does not mean I stopped being a fan.

I was still wet behind the ears the last time we did anything meaningful, and this year has simply killed me... haven't cared less about football since before I started watching it.

If we had a legit QB, even the loss of Charles wouldn't have to mean the end of the dream... but we don't, so it is.

Sick and tired of being sick and tired.

That loss killed this team.

It sent a message of "even with near perfect circumstance, we aren't good enough to beat the Broncos this year"

I firmly believe that if we had won that game, we would be 4-1 right now.

BossChief 10-15-2015 06:42 AM

As far as Poe goes, hopefully they don't try to rush him back again because it's obvious that his back was never fully healed.

Red Dawg 10-15-2015 07:00 AM

Doesn't matter anyway. We have the worst QB in the league.

He came back a couple months after surgery on a herniated disk.

Meanwhile Fisher is out 2 months because he stubbed his toe.

Meh, if it's going to happen. Might as well happen. I'm not going to get broken up by another Bronco's thrashing if they're not ready to be a competitor anyway.

That would be like being heartbroken if George Cooney never got a title shot.
