Who has the best onion rings?

A simple poll. Don't you dare even bring up any third parties, because you're full of shit if you do.

BRGR:

Kansas City Joe's:

I need to vote sometime after September 20.

eDave 07-13-2015 05:13 PM

You shouldn't eat that shit.

Where's BRGR? Never heard of it.

I don't know these establishments, but I am compelled to write and express my sincere appreciation for onion rings.

83rd and Mission. Got it.

I'll check it out sometime.

I recently went to Blanc burgers at 106th and Mission. Pretty solid. It's gourmet burgers, and gourmet prices, but the owner does a wonderful job with service. As they should in Leawood...

Things are usually a bit different at 16 as opposed to 30.

Sully 07-13-2015 05:24 PM

Thing is, I HATE onions. One taste of onion will ruin a meal for me. I abhor them.

But a good onion ring is pretty damn good.

This.

I order no onions and lettuce if I ever go to a sonic even though I like lettuce.

They seem to get mixed in there and one little chunk of their onions make a shitty burger absolutely ****ing nasty

I need the onions overdone. Those look like they still have the physical characteristics of fresh onions underneath. Therefore, shitty.

There's no such thing as "too much" of either.

And the CBGB rings look pretty boss.

I'd pick CBGB is I were into O-rings. The others look overcooked to me. Might not be but they present themselves that way.

C3HIEF3S 07-13-2015 05:53 PM

Won't touch an onion ring, onion, or anything that is touching an onion in a dish.

Onion rings are ****ing delicious. Fries and rings together are magnificent.

I am saddened at the onion hate on CP. It's time for onions to get a flag and a bakery.

Onion rings should always be eaten in their pure state.

I guess maybe you could use a little ranch if they're the type with the dry wavy breading.

Bugeater 07-13-2015 06:20 PM

That chicken fried bacon does look amazing btw. I hope that's not available anywhere near me. And if it is, I don't need to know about it.

Bates City BBQ in its day was pretty good for rings. The blooming vadelia onion at Texas Road house was good. It looks like the onion in the ring at Brgr is too big for my liking.

Outback has one of those. Tasted good when I ate it, sick as a dog later. Plus I gained five lbs after one sitting and had to diet it off.
