Sprint Center Seating - Foo Fighters

Guys...

Thinking of coming up for the FF show. Wondering if there are any areas in SC that I should avoid - any odd spots where you can only see a corner of the building or anything crazy. Specifically looking at upper level.

And if anyone has seen a show there - specifically from the upper level, let me know what section you sat in and if the sightlines were OK - or if you wish you had bought lower level seats.

Thanks!

I bought upper level seats at Sprint once. Once, for a concert. It's worth the few extra bucks to get lower level seats fairly close to the stage... not on the floor.

Well, that's not happening. I'm not paying $300+ to see a concert.

I've got floor tickets to the show. I went last time they played in Sprint Center and ended up jumping the wall to get to the floor. I've had upper level tickets before and they are terrible.

Demonpenz 06-07-2015 05:39 PM

I saw chili peppers and I had to buy the expensive seats because the top just sucks,

OnTheWarpath15 06-07-2015 05:41 PM

Well, ****.

Guess this ain't happening.

Can you guys explain why upper level sucks so much?

I've sat upper level for a concert in a BASEBALL stadium and it was fine.

Demonpenz 06-07-2015 05:42 PM

sitting in the upper deck it is so steep and so far away you see the top of peoples heads you are forced to just see how your aging 90's stars are just going bald.

O.city 06-07-2015 05:48 PM

Upper level isn't bad. Lower is worth it though

Demonpenz 06-07-2015 05:58 PM

Have you heard a foo fighters concert lately btw? Tell me what you think about this before you go.

Would be interested to hear from anyone who goes how they are live nowadays, although I can't imagine them being anything other than great. I'll be seeing them in Wichita in September, The Color and the Shape is one of my favorite albums ever and I don't think any 4 songs in a row will ever beat February Stars, Everlong, Walking After You and New Way Home. From a struggle to a love song to a breakup song to an "I'll be fine" song, it's just greatness. Haven't been too high on their newer stuff but I'll have to give it all another listen.

RockChalk 06-08-2015 09:34 AM

Best live act I've ever seen. They put on an incredibly show, often close to 2 1/2 hours.

I'll be on the floor for this one, as I've been to the 3 other FF shows I've seen over the years.

So does anyone have some reasons why the upper level sucks, other than just, "uh, the upper level sucks."?

I've only seen a couple concerts at Sprint. One was Tool, mid-upper level stage left towards the back. I remember thinking it should have been much, much louder. Maybe it was the band's audio, maybe it was the acoustics. Also, it was sort of a crappy viewing angle in that it felt like I was further away than I really was, but that wasn't a deal-breaker really.

I saw RHCP in the lower level corner stage right. I didn't have any of the aforementioned problems; BUT I was ridiculously wasted at that concert, so problems were hard to come by.

That's all it is. Go to the show. It will be awesome and you will not regret anything.

Huge party.

Pablo 06-08-2015 05:26 PM

FWIW; I would gladly go sit in the same seats I had for the Tool concert to see FF. I bet it will be a great show.

This. I saw Tool at Sprint Center from the upper level and I hated it.
I gotta be on the floor.

Just saw them at Slane Castle Ireland! They were outstanding. Loved the new stuff. Dave brought it!

Nope.

Looking at the seating chart, I'd guess 226 or 227 would be the section, don't remember the row but halfway up I'd say.

I bet it will still be awesome no matter what seat you get.

I was on the floor for that show and it was still the least exciting Tool show I've ever seen. I'm not a big fan of Sprint center concerts...

Hah. Yeah, huge venue shows just don't do it for me. The intimacy is lost, and typically the bands are so popular that the crowd is singing the words 90% of the time and louder than the actual band.

On a side note:

I saw A Perfect Circle at Municipal once and it was the worst show ever. Not only did Willcall not have my pre-sale tickets, I had to overpay from some shitty scalper.
Then the sound from up top sucked so hard so I spent the entire set trying to sneak around security and onto the floor. I was even up on the smokers balcony trying to steal wristbands off of passed out dumbasses. I failed. Terrible experience.

Was that the Perfect Circle show where Maynard came out all painted white, and they had the acrobats climbing up and down the ropes?

Not sure, I spent that set trying to sneak to the floor so I missed a lot of it.

I've seen some shows from Spring Center upper deck. Nothing wrong with it, but it's definitely not like being on the floor or sitting close in lower level.

So long as you're not in a hidden corner, you should have a great time.

frankotank 06-09-2015 01:54 PM

I don't know what the layout will be for this show....but I saw then at sprint center a while back and I was on the floor which was standing only. there was a stage in the back and they played 5 or 6 songs on the little stage right in the middle of the standing only peoples. got some great shots on my shitty 10 year old phone. I was like 3 feet from the band. pretty damn cool!

so...if they got standing floor seats...I really dug it.

they are just a great band! live....or not. no idea how in the hell he can scream like that night after night. just awesome.
