I don't know anything about Lance Lynn, you Cardinal fans weigh in his strengths and weaknesses that have watched him this season.

I had tickets given to me for tonight and Sunday. I'd rather see the Astros. I've reached the point where this inter league series needs to end.

He will be tough. For whatever reason hitters cant hit that fastball regularly. He can go 7-8 innings with 0 runs and 4 hits. Or if you work the counts and get his pitch count up you can get him out after 5-6 innings with a run or two. In 2 years he could possibly get a $200 million contract from some team. He has flown under the MLB fan radar but not GM's. |
Thanks BRC for your input that's what I was looking for not just a win and loss column and ERA number.

Part of it is Yadi. He is getting old and you will be able to run on him this weekend. But, his ability to call a game is still the best in the game. |
The tag sums up my feeling quite succinctly.

The Royals will put the ball in play and force defenses to make outs. They won't strike out very often in a men-on situation. Makes it tougher to get out of jams... |
Royals 4
Cards 1 |
In ... rehearsal dinner tonight so I'll be watching on my phone but probably not posting much.
One of these nights Chris Young is going to get got, though (hoping it's not tonight) ... hopefully the irrational Royals guys like Pete aren't going to say things like, "wow Chris Young is a pussy I can't believe he didn't show up tonight in a big game!" ...but I'm sure that'll be the rhetoric |
Lynn, Lackey, Wacha
No bitching about the starting pitching from the Cardinals fans. That's their top 3 this weekend. Young, Duffy, Volquez Cards are lefty heavy - Duffman better be ready. Other than that, I like the pitching this weekend. Wish we could had Ace in there, but oh well. |
if Volquez has his pitches working like he did last time out ... he's a top 10 starter in baseball. Our 'ace' is Volquez.
|
Ventura gets the nod on Monday. New York and ESPN game. Big stage again, hopefully he rises to the occasion again.
|
the Royals are playing to the point right now I think they're in for one of their patented runs
I'm thinking 15 out of 20 stretch coming up they just look damn near unbeatable |
Tickets are nearly gone from Royals.com and only 700ish on StubHub. Gonna be a packed house! Let's hope the blue outweighs the red...I'm betting it will.

oh cool, just noticed that ESPN picked up our game on Monday to feature as their big memorial day baseball game.
|
I'll be there in dugout box seats tomorrow. Can't wait!

Hamas or DJ could better explain why a 93-94 mph fastball is having so much success. Ask any Cardinal fan, I couldn't handle the Lynn with all this talent folding at the first time someone makes an error or doesn't get a call from the ump. I wanted to trade him. Now the 2015 Lynn, if he maintains composure, he could possibly be a #1. He has really turned it around. |
Our defense: showin' more agility than cats
Our offense: swingin' away with hot bats Our pitcher: flashin' them dastardly nasty stats |

Everyone else in our lineup either has no hits against or hasn't ever faced him. |

Last year Duffy's big breakout game was against STL. Hopefully he can get back to that tomorrow.
|
I'm looking forward to this one. I have a 20 dollar wager on the royals taking the series this weekend. Go blue!
|
I'm just glad the Duffy start is on my friend's wedding night so I don't have to worry about being sober through it

We are playing well just not at our best. The royals are playing great. That will be the edge to turn a game or two this weekend. Historically, this is the best both teams have been playing when they played each other. |
Destroy the birds!

Don't worry I'll be in blue.. and probably dead within the next 3 hours. |
In case anyone hasn't caught on to this fact yet, the Cards are VERY familiar with Volquez. VERY FAMILIAR!!!!!!
