Floyd and Pacman set to fight May 2nd!!!!
|
I thought this had something do do with Malcom Floyd and Pacman Jones.
|
When they step foot in the ring and the bell is sounded is when I'll believe this is actually going to happen
|
Mayweather won't destroy anyone if he does his usual run away from your opponent for the whole fight that he's done in his last half dozen fights.

I'm legit shocked this is happening never thought it would....
I'll find a way to watch this even if the rumored $100 PPV price comes to fruition. |
Would have been excited four years ago.

About time big pay day for both if pacman wins and they rematch payday times two$$$$$
Win Win |
I haven't seen a boxing match in 19 years, and I might go another 19 without seeing one, but I'll watch this fight. (just this one though, I'm not interested in the inevitable instant rematch)
|
Floyd wins. Whites upset.
|
Never going to happen.

Too much money for it not to happen. |
Who gives a shit anymore? The whole 4 year "negotiation" for this fight has been like two drunk idiots pushing each other outside a bar, both afraid to commit to fighting. Eventually onlookers become bored, call them pussies, and leave.

5 years too late.
I'm more excited for the Canelo vs. Kirkland fight. |
Pacquiao, after a couple of subpar performances, will make this the biggest fight of his life and work his tail off to go out and beat Floyd. This will be a fantastic fight.
|
WE ALL AGREE ..... its 5 years too late .... but hey .... it's a GO

May weather will run around and point him to death on the scorecard
|
Stupid that it took so long and stupid that I will pay whatever they ask to watch it.
|
Money Mayweather is going to beat the shit out of this rube.

I will bet anyone on the site - straight up - W - or - L - PBF wins the fight. I take Floyd. I can't do a lot of bets - but I'd be willing to take on one.
$500 Anyone? |

Pac wins by a field goal in OT. 24-21.
|
I'm excited for the Vegas odds to be released.
I usually only bet UFC, but I'll put a few hundred on Mayweather. Hopefully a bunch of Pacquiao nuthuggers who saw him beat a bunch of scrubs in 2004 will put their life savings on him. More money for the rational folk. |

This is Mayweather's game plan: Skip to 38 seconds and you'll see Mayweather's recent fights in a nutshell. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/LSAXPzcFupM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Skip to 38 seconds and you'll see Mayweather's recent fights in a nutshell. |
Last thing I'd want is for a panel of Nevada judges to decide this fight. Hope it's decided by KO one way or the other.

YAY!

I miss boxing being a big event. I wish there were some heavyweights worth watching. I miss the days of Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe, Lewis. UFC sucks.
|
Glad they finally got it done. I love it when my friends get excited about a fight so finally get to have a big fight night party.
I'm guessing odds will be somewhere in the 3 to 1 range in Floyd's favor. Might be worth a small bet on Pacman. |

People think these two fighters are way out of their prime. For all I know Floyd hasn't showed ANY signs of decline. Pacman showed signs, but he's going to be ready. It'll still be his biggest fight in big career.
You better believe these two guys are going to fight like there 25 years old again. |

If you are talking about the weird overly-styled stuff from the earliest days, martial artists who do stupid shit that don't work was weeded out. If it worked, we'd see it. |
Currently
Mayweather -258 Paquiao +215 |
I bet PBF pretty much whoops Pac. I'm not saying a knockout. but.

May weather is a bitch. His only concern is keeping his record pristine so he can say he's the best. Pacman wants to beat the best so there's no contest. A champion in 8 different weight classes vs an undefeated who has until this point skirted any battle that he thought he may lose. Manny ftw.

Thats why I hope Pac doesn't get too aggressive. He got too aggressive in the Marquez fight when he was winning and ended up getting countered and knocked out even though he was beating Marquez's ass the whole fight prior to that. Floyd is a master at countering, can't leave yourself wide open like Pac has a tendency to do. |
Cheapest Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao Tickets Over $4,000 On Secondary Market
It may be later than most have wanted, but “The Fight of the Century” is happening. Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have signed a contract, agreeing to fight later this year. As the fight has finally on the books, prospective fans hoping to attend will be looking at the most expensive boxing tickets ever tracked on the secondary market. According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, the early word is that the lower level face price will be around $3,500. While that is an astronomical price, it pales in comparison to the $100 million purse that the two fighters will be competing for. Between endorsements, sponsors and the massive time spent planning and trash talking, both fighters have reveled in the idea of squaring off for the better half of a decade, but negotiations have fallen through each time. As the world awaited a fifth pass, an agreement has been reached with the premiere fight scheduled for May 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Now that both camps have signed on the dotted line, they should be ready to generate millions of dollars from the fight, win, lose of draw. In what would be the most lucrative and highest-grossing fight of all-time, Mayweather vs Pacquiao is already generating prices above almost anything else we’ve seen in recent history on the secondary market. With the cheapest ticket on the secondary market is currently going for over $4,000, the only comparable event we’ve see was the recent Super Bowl between the Seahawks and Patriots, which had get-in prices close to the $5,000 mark. |
This fight would've been cool 4 years ago

I dont quite understand why so many people like watching small men fight. No weight divisions IMO. If there were no weight divisions Mayweather would be pumping gas. Is there an NFL for 140 lbs men? No? Why not? That's not fair! What about an NBA where the max height is 6 ft? Why don't they have that?

Pacquiao's last loss? A 6th round KO. If you want to criticize FMM for not finishing fights decisively, why give Pac-Man a pass? When's the last time he knocked a guy out? Like 2008? Come on now. |

This will be the biggest test for Mayweather in quite a few years. He has been hand picking easy opponents for years now so it is really hard to say how good he truly still is. It's like LeBron James choosing to play a one on one game against a college freshman. Sure he will dominate as expected, but now if he were to play against Durant it would be a different story. Not saying he wouldn't win, but it wouldn't be a cake walk.

Meh... This fight should have happened 4 or 5 years ago.

You know what I like about this fight?
That it's happening 5 years late. |

Pac might not have knocked anyone out, but he at least has hurt fighters, before that lucky punch Marquez got him with, he had dropped him like 2 times i think, them 4 fights all get bunched up in my head, he dropped Algeri 6 times and that fight should have been stopped in the 10th i believe, i have no idea why the ref's allowed him to keep going. If anyone watched the GGG fight lastnight, the Ref stopped it correctly it should have been the same for Manny in that fight. Im not saying Manny is going to knock Floyd out, but there is no way in hell Floyd is going to Mop the floor with anyone. He may very well win, i expect him too, because he's going to 1-2 then get out. He's going to get hit a few times as well, but him seriously hurting anyone? naw. |
