Animated TV shows....

A brilliant individual asked the question in the game chat thread today of How in the hell Bob's Burgers is winning Emmys. That same brilliant individual insinuated that the show ****ing sucked.

Big Smoke came to the defense of the shitty show. Any other Bob's Burgers fans around here? Please list a couple of the top episodes for me to watch to change my opinion.

Archer was mentioned as a great show. Agree or Disagree?

Lastly, The Simpsons needs to be put down. It's been on its death bed for years.

lewdog 11-16-2014 06:12 PM

Mike Tyson Mysteries.

Shaid 11-16-2014 06:12 PM

I like Archer.
Only saw part of a Bob's Burgers once and that was enough for me.
Simpson's is meh for me.
Still like some South Park and Family Guy.

Rausch 11-16-2014 06:14 PM

I love Bob's Burgers.

The first season was mostly meh but then it turned it up. ARCHER even became Bob (I'm pretty sure the same week Bob got lost in the walls...)

This about sums it up for me aside from not seeing Archer yet. I'm checking it out this weekend.

Simpsons was wonderful up until the late '90's.

Family Guy has gone down hill, but has its moments.

Southpark is extremely hit or miss. Either a Grand Slam or a complete dud.

Molitoth 11-16-2014 06:17 PM

Family Guy is still my fav of all time. Seth M just nails my sense of humor.
South Park does a good job sometimes.

I've never caught much of Bob's Burgers, but the art looks so similar to Sanjay and Craig that I can't imagine myself actually liking it.

Yep, we're pretty much on the same page.

Archer has a much higher success rate. I really don't understand how anyone could not like it...

GloucesterChief 11-16-2014 06:21 PM

The Venture Bros.

Better then any other animated show.

Demonpenz 11-16-2014 06:22 PM

Archer says God Damnit too much and that is a major turn off.

Why?

He never damns anyone - thus, not a sin...

Demonpenz 11-16-2014 06:25 PM

I dunno I just know I tried to get my friends into it and it turned them off that he said God Damn and Jesus so much.

TimBone 11-16-2014 06:27 PM

I'm watching some god damned Archer this weekend.

digger 11-16-2014 06:38 PM

Ren and Stimpy, South Park, Wile E. Coyote and The Road Runner...

sd4chiefs 11-16-2014 06:40 PM

Rick and Morty is one of the best animated TV shows that no one knows about.

Sealab 2021 has a few really funny episodes.

Another show I've started to grow really fond of is Batman: The Brave and the Bold. At first I hated it and didn't try it again for a few years. It wasn't The Animated Series. It's just so goofy. Now I love it.

One of the best shows on television IMO. It is everything I was raised to believe to be wrong and immoral in this world, and it is absolutely hilarious.

Come over. I'm watching episodes Tuesday and Wednesday night.

TimBone 11-16-2014 08:08 PM

And if Big Smoke would get his sorry ass in here, I'm gonna watch the recommended Bob's Burger episodes as well. I may just watch some of season 2 since Rausch said it picked up by that point. I watched all of season one, and it was stupid.

I'll be starting off there, too. I've never seen it. Ram's Fan recommended it.

:thumb: It is a mix of serial and episodic. So you can watch random episodes, but there will be plot points and jokes that you won't catch going that route.

An obvious 10/10. Check out Brave and the Bold if you really love Batman and DC as a whole. It's pretty funny. But keep in mind, it's a comedy. It pays homage to the Silver Age comics really well also.
