Hope Houston adds to his sack total

Set the record!

Chiefs Pantalones 11-02-2014 12:00 AM

Decker averaged 80+ yds/gm in 2013. So far this season, 52 yds/gm. Peyton factor.

Pretty certain we will be utilizing 3 safeties so don't worry too much about Parker.

RealSNR 11-02-2014 12:56 AM

I liked Ron Parker before it was cool to like Ron Parker after he sucked at CB during training camp and preseason after he would potentially be halfway decent for us before everybody knew who or what the **** he really was.

penbrook 11-02-2014 01:04 AM

Ron Parker and Husain Abdullah are probably the main reason why we have the #1 pass defense in the NFL.

If I told you before the season that through 7 games we had Ron Parker and Husain Abdullah starting at Safeties and that we benched our #2 CB in favor of a player we signed off the Ravens practice squad and that all this was done without our all pro safety Eric Berry and that we have yet to allow a QB throw over for 300 yards. We have faced Manning, Brady, Kaepernick, and Rivers to name a few and that we would be the #1 pass defense in the NFL.

Mav 11-02-2014 01:35 AM

I like Ron Parker ever since the Cowboys game last year when he made Tony Romo fumble.

Direckshun 11-02-2014 06:57 AM

Hali's going to have his hands full against D'Brickashaw Ferguson.

Who's Houston going up against? Breno Giacomini. HA.

Really that is the thing about Houston. He's an outstanding player, but he does put up his numbers against RTs who are simply overwhelmed by him.

I do wonder what it'd be like if he and Hali swapped for a season.

This is the one game Andy should Andy.

Jets are stout against the run, and full-blown Ebola against the pass.

This should be a stat-padding game for Alex Smith. We'll see.

Should have been last week. Rams defensive line, while individually amazing, has had Ebola this season and they were starting all rookies at CB.

Jets pass rush is just as fierce as ours, as far as sacks are concerned. We'z gon git fisted in da trenches.

The first quarter will tip this one for me since I've seen this game earlier in the week as a big KC win. But, it has been a slow swing back to reality. I do think we move the ball in this game but I wonder if we will leave points on the field and then anything can happen. There just isn't any gimme in the NFL anymore. You think Vick, Decker and Harvin and that raises eyebrows a little. We get a sack or a turnover early and it becomes a fun relaxing day until hopefully, the snow makes Manning's day absolutely horrible.

from AP:

Quote:

Inactive vs. Jets: WR Donnie Avery, CB Chris Owens, LB Josh Martin, CB Jamell Fleming, OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, C Eric Kush, QB Aaron Murray.

The biggest news here is that S Eric Berry is not listed. He will play vs. the Jets after missing time since Week 2 due to an ankle injury.

Avery, Owens, Martin and Fleming are all out due to injury, which the Chiefs announced last Friday. WR AJ Jenkins will step in for Avery, CB Phillip Gaines should step in for Owens and CB Marcus Cooper likely starts in place of Fleming. I'll be curious to see how Cooper does with Fleming out. Cooper was benched in place of Fleming just two weeks ago.

I have a bad feeling about this game.

The Jets are an aggressive team, and will put pressure on Smith.

I hope our screens work out. Smith is going to need to scramble well, and hit a few mid to deep passes to back the Jets off.
