What do you put on a hot dog?

If you say ketchup, you are a rube.

Bufkin 09-25-2014 03:37 PM

For me, it has to be a simple combination of chili and nacho cheese. Yes?

ToxSocks 09-25-2014 03:40 PM

Depends. If i make them at home, i wrap them in Bacon before putting it on the grill, then top it with diced tomatos and onions and some mayo.

If i go pick up a hot dog for lunch, i put Mayo, Mustard, BBQ sauce & relish.

I don't eat hot dogs. There are far tastier ways to spend those calories.

That's such a rube thing to say.

Mennonite 09-25-2014 03:42 PM

Chili, sharp cheddar cheese, and bacon.

Two questions: Is there a better brand than Nathan's? Anybody got a good recipe for chili sauce?

Pablo 09-25-2014 03:45 PM

Mustard(regular, dijon, spicy, etc.) and raw white onion.

BigMeatballDave 09-25-2014 03:45 PM

Chili, onions, cheddar.

Or, spicy mustard and onions.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 09-25-2014 03:46 PM

Kraut or onions, relish, horseradish sauce, mustard, mayo

Mennonite 09-25-2014 03:46 PM

How many hot dogs did the OP get shoved up his ass for getting D's on his report card?

kcpasco 09-25-2014 03:47 PM

I only put mustard but I'll add some kraut if it's a bratwurst.

I was raised in foster care. I've never had any form of processed meat in or around my sphincter.

srvy 09-25-2014 03:49 PM

Mustard, relish, onion, jalepino slices and cheese. In a rush I can go just dog and turd.

Simply Red 09-25-2014 03:50 PM

Mustard / Jalapeno mustard when I have it in stock
Onions (chopped)

sometimes I'll add Chili and Cheese - but mostly I agree with Clay - they're an every once in a while type of food for me - almost never.

BWillie 09-25-2014 03:50 PM

Nothing. No ketchup, no relish, no anything.

I eat everything, plain. I eat my ribs with out sauce, although I do like a good rub. I get my hamburgers with nothing on it except bacon. No mustard etc. No Mayonnaise.

Yet I like to but syrup on my eggs, and I like to dip chicken nuggets or strips in honey

Simply Red 09-25-2014 03:51 PM

poppy seed buns sure help out - I agree w/ that legend above.

I've never met anyone with the same "plain" taste as I have when it comes to condiments. My entire family thinks I'm weird for eating hamburgers and hotdogs plain. I also dip chicken nuggets in honey on the rare occasions that I eat chicken nuggets.

While we're on the topic, has anyone else noticed that the hotdogs at Arrowhead are much better than the ones at Kaufman? They are also bigger and I think cost pretty much the same.

loochy 09-25-2014 04:00 PM

one strip of mustard
one strip of ketchup

Start Croyle 09-25-2014 04:00 PM

Ketchup, mustard, relish

Similarly, the popcorn at Arrowhead is literally the best I've ever had at any stadium. The popcorn at the Edward Jones Dome is 2 dollars more expensive and tastes like a really long thumbnail that you chew off during a boring lecture or seminar.

Clark spares no expense when it comes to assholes. Case in point Pioli and Haley.

Chicago style, by the way: mustard, pickle spear, relish, onions, sport peppers, tomatoes, celery salt

eDave 09-25-2014 04:02 PM

On the rare occasion that I eat a hotdog, just ketchup.

Chicago or Sonoran is really the only way I'll eat a hotdog anymore.

Wow, I feel like I belong. I'm getting kinda misty about that.

I don't even dip chicken nuggets or put any sauce on wings though. I've even skipped spaghetti sauce at times.

So, yeah, nothing is my answer.

I always eat spaghetti without sauce. Salt and pepper and just a touch of Italian dressing. If I wanted tomato sauce all over my pasta, I'd make lasagna.

Not all of us have a fat nerd inside of us just waiting to bust out. Carbs are fine as long as you don't over consume them and exercise.

Messy, overrated, and not a game changer.

JK, I actually love ketchup.

Game changer, maybe not. But it'll surely get the job done on most entrees. Not overrated though. It is, what it is. And it's light years above Mustard.

I have never done bbq sauce on a dog, but I do like chili cheese dogs, it's just been 2 decades since I've had one. I may have to try that sometime...
