Final roster notable cuts thread

I didn't see a thread for this. I figured better to have one repository thread so here it is. Not really anyone I've seen yet that could help the Chiefs. The Browns cut Burleson but he's been hurt all preseason and likely done. I think it's already been mentioned elsewhere, but I'll include it here anyway, that the Eagles cut Henry Josey. Notable former Chiefs are Ricki Stanzi cut by the Jags and Tony Moaeki placed on (gasp) IR by the Bills.

It doesn't say ***OFFICIAL***, so I'll
Have to ignore this. Sorry

Brandon Harris

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...randon-harris/

Another recent Texans draft pick has been sent packing.

Cornerback Brandon Harris, a 2011 second-round draft pick, was cut by the Texans today, according to James Palmer of CSN Houston.

Bad draft picks have plagued the Texans in recent years, and Harris is a prime example: When you draft a player in the second round, you expect him to be a starter. Harris is released having never started a game in Houston.

Harris, who played his college football at the University of Miami, is a talented enough athlete that some team may decide to give him a second chance in the NFL. But his first chance, in Houston, has ended as a major disappointment.

He doesn't suck. We are just loaded at defensive tackle and he makes more money than other guys we have. He's also coming off of an injury. Vickerson is a beast when he's healthy.

Benjarvis Green-Ellis got cut.

Also, if Buffalo releases Urbik we better be all over it.

Quote:

CBSSports' Jason La Canfora reports the Bills are shopping G Kraig Urbik.

Despite his solid 2013 campaign, Urbik lost his right guard job to former tackle Erik Pears during camp. Urbik is set to count $3.45 million against the Bills cap, but Buffalo could save $2.9 million of that by releasing or trading him. Urbik would find plenty of suitors on the open market if cut.

Well yeah, Ford does no doubt have the higher ceiling. But I think nfl teams, and people in general are too obsessed with elite measurables. Sams got an incredible heart, and is a great football player. he is physically gifted enough to become an elite player in the NFL. pretty crazy how measurables can cause the SEC co defensive player of the year to fall to the end of the draft.

:banghead:

I'm sure he'll get some screens etc. He'll be used as a decoy a lot. He will see some plays lined up as a WR but he won't be a full time slot until next year. Transitioning sucks but that's the way it will work. We will keep four RBs and I would be shocked if we cut Gray. He is the special teams captain and Dorsey and Reid have put a ton of emphasis on special teams. We won't cut him dude.

:banghead:

He is the same thing as Dexter McCluster. Only faster and better. I doubt we transition him to WR or have him take up a roster spot as a WR. He'll stay RB, but get a lot of looks in at WR as well, even more when we develop his hands more.
