I thought I was going to do something else tonight, but damn it, all I want to do is watch baseball.
In vegas, we're the 3rd-biggest road favorite tonight. |
Bought my tickets just a few minutes ago! Can't wait to see Duffy pitch.
|
The Royals, in the past, have typically knocked Nolasco around pretty good. I think we win this one 7-2.
|
Nolasco will probably be on a roughly 80-pitch limit. He missed a month and is coming back from a sore elbow.

Just ****ing win. I wish Ned would get a little more of Vermeil's fire in him.
I remember DV always saying: we'll play anyone, anytime, anywhere. We can go out in the parking lot an play right now if that's what you want. |
In for the win, al.:thumb:

I will be IN the seats for Angels at Rangers (fireworks Friday), checking scores. Here's to improving our 2-4 record at Target this season.

A tad bit nervous for this series, but Duffy on the mound I do like. Let's go grab our 19th win in the last 23 tonight!
|
The Royals have just been notified that our game on August 31st has been picked up by ESPN2 for Sunday Night baseball. The game time has been moved back from 1:10pm to 7:07 pm.
|
Royals always seem to have problems with the Twins. I know I'm asking for a lot, but I want to sweep them. I feel like they could do it.
Willingham needs to play angry vs his old club |
I am also worried about this one......The Twins just seem to have the Royals number.
|
We are all worried because we finally have something to lose. Enjoy it. Embrace it.

True Values all over kc are selling out of brooms

In. **** the stupid Twins(literally if your lucky enough to have that option tonight).

My jaded Royals side says that this is where we collapse, pissing ourselves against the league's worst.
But this is the new me...the me that uses analysis to determine that we will win at least 3 out of these 4 games as the Tigers and Mariners beat each other up. |

quick question, now that your team is competing in baseball does football take a little bit of a backseat right now? For me it has, i used to be all into training camp and preseason football, but since my team is doing pretty good the last few years, my interest in preseason football has seriously diminished!
|
Quote:
That said, College Football will always be my drug of choice. |
I've barely followed camp stuff from the Chiefs since the Royals starting tearing it up. And I'm very passionate about the Chiefs, but man it's been 29 years. This is historic and possibly awesome.

Don't give much of a shit about the Chiefs at the moment. I probably won't until the Royals are out of it altogether. Chiefs are bed-shitting assholes that don't deserve my attention.
The Royals are made in the same mold; but they're giving me hope right now. |
Quote:
I used to read up on EVERYTHING training camp, every single website anything i could find, this year i've only watched a few videos on the Chiefs website n thats about it. I have no idea whats going on lol |
I said this a week or so ago and I will say it again, the Royals have earned my undivided attention right now. Right now I couldn't care less about the Chiefs.
|
It seems a KC player that hasn't shown their stuff for awhile steps up and delivers.
I'm thinking it's Lo who'll lift high the Royals tonight. |

A sweep would be extraordinary
|
**** the Chiefs and Go Royals.
I've been just waiting to get off of work, eat an early dinner and then just watch this team all night. Feels good man. |
Smells like home!
Thanks for the GDT, alnorth. Best in class, as usual. I hope Duffy can come out strong and befuddle them at the plate. The kid is seriously one of, if not, my favorite Royals' players ever! |
Not in tonight :(, get the W boys!

Sure, you can gleam useful nuggets of the new players and improvements, but the song and dance of it all gets stale because we all know the drill sans actual "news". I don't says this based upon tempered expectation of the team. I would almost surely have a negligible or no greater degree of interest about TC & the preseason if the Chiefs were the Super Bowl favorite. I've seen dress rehearsals a 1000x over. I'll readjust and get excited when they pull back the curtain on Opening Night. (Game 1) |
Big Game James took BP tonight. Hit one into the front row of the upper deck.
I have a brother and nephew there for the Friday/Saturday night games. |
The Mariners are already up 2-0 on the Tigers in the 2nd, and they have the bases loaded with nobody out.
|
3-0 Seattle, mid 2nd.

Come on, please win tonight! Would be glorious to be 1.5 ahead of the Tiggers.
|
I'm worried about this road trip. I'd take 5-4 & be happy.
|
We are in for a losing night fellas. I put some money on 1.5+ for a Royals win.
We are ****ed now! |

Big spender here! I usually drop just a few small bets at an online sports betting site a few times a week during baseball season. Sometimes I'll go weeks without doing anything though. I'll go bigger for big time championship games or NFL if I get the urge. Or drop some money on a Sunday Night football game I will be watching to give me a rooting interest. Nothing too huge though. |
Efficient Duffy today, plz.

What kind of catch was that Omar?
|
Beautiful.
3 pitches = 2 outs. |
The motto tonight for both teams....swing often!
|
Mariners take a 5-1 lead.
|
6 pitches in one inning.
That is beautiful. Keep that up Duffman. |
