2014 - Who will Have a better season - Cassel or Smith?

Cassel & The Vikings

VS

Smith & The Chiefs

Cassel has Bridgewater snapping at his heels....will he be DONE a few weeks in?

Smith had a solid season last year, but theres been some losses to free agency on the line and our secondary may allow a metric ass ton of points....

What say YOU Chiefsplanet?

You all know where my heart lies....8-)

Verdict:

ALex Smith wins by a LANDSLIDE

Cassel may be done for good...out for the season on IR for the rest of 2014 after just a few weeks

Are we talking team, or individual.

Alex Smith is going to have to have his best season ever personally, and as you said, cassel has Bridgewater breathing down his neck, but I expect the vikings to be a lot better this year because they have mike Zimmer and Norv Turner

So alex Smith

Geno is a 2nd round QB and Smith was a 1.1.

In his 2nd season Geno isn't very far from Alex Smith, let's not forget Smith was the first pick in the first round. He's mediocre at best for a 1.1 pick

And Cassel's better than Smith because?

Cassel shouldn't even be in the league.

I thought the question was regarding Cassels 2nd and Smiths 2nd with the Chiefs. I was just showing love for Geno because he's better than both.

Alex but only because Cassel is pure shit.

I will enjoy both of their failures, further validating my viewpoint of retread QBs as nothing but giant wastes of time for any NFL franchise.

I'm sure it was because he didn't win a playoff game or whatever.

He's the kind of QB I figured CP would love. Tons of TDs, tons of yards.

Alex was playing really well in the second half of last season and the playoff game. There's plenty of room for optimism when comparing this situation to Matt Cassel in the Pioli era.

No, just wanted to get an idea of how much of a sure thing it was..I realize the odds are heavily in favor of Smith to have a better year stats wise....but how much so? Will Cassel lose his job week 3? Week 6? Play the whole season....go to the playoffs?

If Green had been more than what he was he wouldn't have laid a big egg in the 2006 playoff game, and maybe he could have won another game or two in 2002 and 2005.

He was only as good as the team around him, and unfortunately, though it was fun, it was a waste of our goddamn time.
