I searched and could not find anything on here about this awesome show.

Seriously, if you like animated shows for adults, then you have to watch this ****ing show.

It is on adultswim, you can watch episodes online.

I assume you are aware it's the baby of Dan Harmon, creator of Community and notorious crankypants.

I hope to catch it soon, but there's been so much good stuff on, I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I just discovered this show. Because, (As Baby Lee mentioned) it's a Dan Harmon project, and read a bunch of episode recaps/reviews on AV Club while bored at work.

I've only seen one episode so far, but I think I like it.

Ok, episode 2 has me hooked.

I stumbled on one episode whilst channel surfing - and thought it was quite good.
Funny... and poignant.

Meeseeks and Destroys usually gets people hooked if you haven't see that one yet. Justin Roiland is insane (other creator) if you guys are not aware of who he is.

I haven't seen it, just the commercials during Adventure Time I will check it out.

If you do not like the pilot, just make it through it and watch the next few episodes. It gets a lot better.

Just finished season one this weekend. My sons introduced me to it. It's brilliant. Humor is right up my alley. It's like they read my mind.

I was afraid that S2 E1 was going to be a let down from S1. To my surprise it was assume.

Loving this show!

I'm hooked...

The last episode, where the microverses keep piling up ... the part where Rick's car employs the defensive measure of recreating a cop's drowned son to appeal to him not to attack -- I thought I was gonna die. That was one of the most wonderfully dark things I've ever seen on TV.

That was hilarious. Great episode.

When they parodied How It's Made on Sunday nights episode...I cried and my gut hurt.

I don't think a TV program has ever made me do that. Yes I was sober.

I like how this show deals with important social issues. Like, 'Would you give up your penis to save the universe'.

Just bought season 1 on Blu-ray can't wait to watch

You need to move it up. I'll admit the first time I watched it I didn't like it, but gave it a second chance. Every episode I've seen so far has been brilliant. Every time. I keep waiting for the let down, but it hasn't happened yet.

I hate myself for not discovering this show years ago.

That was my second episode so for obvious reasons, I spent a fair amount of it confused as hell. But it didn't matter much because A) Cyril Figgis was there being a cuckold and B) There were enough one-offs to still be hilarious.

Definitely setting a season pass.

This may be the most cleverly creative show I have ever seen.

I think I agree. It is a brilliant set up. They can avoid all kinds of problems that sitcoms/animated series run into. They can have extremely serious material that feels slightly lighter since it is animated, and they can have ridiculous events occur because it is animated and takes place in an infinite multiverse. There is literally no limit to what they can do, and it remains plausible within the rules of the universe(s) they created. I ****ing love it.

Hard to say. Its . . . a lot of things.

It's a live show, with Dan, Jeff Davis [as 'moderator], Spencer Crittenden [a former audience member Dan took under his wing who interjects wisecracks and DMs role playing sessions], and usually a guest or two.

A lot of it is driven by Dan's steam of consciousness. Sometimes he's drunk and rambles. Sometimes he's mad, . . . and rambles. Sometime's he's political. Sometimes it's just random fun. For instance there are regularly impromptu extended freestyle rap sessions, . . . just 'yo mama' lines rapped of the top fo the dome. For a long time, they held D&D type role playing adventure sessions.

The only way to have an idea what to expect is to listen for a while. But it's very often entertaining and funny in some manner or another. And the best reply to your question is you do get a good sense of Dan's personality., but it's rarely and only tangentially focused on his television work. It's not a 'here's what's happening on my TV show, show.

They've moved away from the role playing part, but only because it's so popular they turned it into a series. But this will still give you a compact glimpse into the nature of the proceedings.

I just watched the Purge Planet episode and it was funny as shit while clearly tossing out a ton of social commentary.

Just an outstanding show.

Season 3 July 30th Bitches!!!

So I've watched about 20 episodes and he's basically me on facebook once I've taken an adavan, a 12 pack, and shouldn't be allowed to talk to anyone...

I've been meaning to ask. . . Am I officially out of the demographic for today's animated 'dramedy' or have I just not watched enough.

People have raved and RAVED about Rick and Morty and Bojack Horseman, and I've caught about 1/2 the first season of R&M and most of the first season of BH, and while they're both good and inventive and occasionally chuckle inducing, it's not been this mindblowing experience people have been insisting, at least for me.

It's meant to be entertaining on surface and deeper on re-watching.

By season 3 the "universe" and "family" Rick and Morty are fighting for isn't even theirs.

It's just....a......."it's just an idea now Rick, it's not even real anymore."

You need to keep watching BH. Your impression of the first season is spot-on, but the show gets its reputation in later seasons.

BTW - I started over on R&M, and am about 5 episodes in [Meeseks]. While I still haven't gotten to mindblowing yet, I am appreciating the creativity and structure more on re-viewing, particularly for a show that's just getting started. Might be also, that this time around I'm actually waiting until I can sit still and actually pay full attention while watching this time. I think I put it on while doing bills and chores last time around.

I loved how "make me a more complete woman" and "make me popular at school" were simpler tasks than "take 2 strokes off my golf game."

Episode 2 has aired I am trying my ass off to find somewhere to watch it...
