Why haven't I heard about this? "Draft Day" movie
Kevin Costner as Brown's GM in "Draft Day". Good shot of Arrowhead in the trailer.

Did he **** us into giving another couple of second rounders for a backup?
|
Yeah man. I heard they did quite a bit of filming during the last draft.
|
Cause its about the Browns

The Browns
it could have been a good story ROFL |
Well, is going to be a good one to see or wait and watch it on cable later?

Costner is MONEY in sports related movies. |

I wonder if he drafts a running back #3 overall LMAO |
Maybe I'm reading this wrong. Are you insinuating that Costner was in Major League?
|
Might be a good movie. I heard it was originally going to be about KC... They even got footage of the banner last year, etc.
But they knew the chiefs draft history and didn't want to make it a comedy. |
Looks really good. Had to laugh at the "Trade Me" line.

Field of Dreams - was one of the baseball movies he did.
Bull Durham - the other. Both made lots o' cash. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Costner_filmography |

The discussion over a wedding gift for Wesley Snipes was funny as hell. |
How many QBs will they draft during the movie?

Now all we need is Cavalier Pride. Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd kidnap a former Cavs player now playing for the Heat, played by Kevin Hart. Hilarity ensues.

He mentions the Broncos...

You should watch it, maybe you'll learn something... :) |

Heh. Hopefully they don't bone it up real bad.
|
the movie probably skips right past the Chiefs pick since everyone in the theater would know we're taking an OL or DL in the first.

I had never heard of this movie and honestly expected it to be a parody trailer before it started and I saw Kevin Costner. Was Moneyball really so successful that we need a football ripoff of it now?
|
Morgan Freeman as Ozzie Newsome.

I think I'll like this movie. I usually like Costner, I think he got a *bad wrap just due to overexposure. He's decent. I even liked his quasi sports flick mainly love story for the love of the game. I know most ppl did not like that movie

Hmmm. Seems like a decent story. Good year for Costner, also co-staring in Jack Ryan movie next month. This movie could fit nicely between Any Given Sunday and North Dallas Forty.
|
Looks meh. Jennifer Garner is garbage.

From the director of Ghostbusters and Kindergarten Cop.

Then you know that poll smoking, pillow biting, worthless mother****ing franchise killing son of a rat **** Pioli would be on there spewing about the Right 53 and blathering on about being the smartest guy in the room. No ****ing thank you. |
This should be great, probably the first serious take on football movie ever made, i sure cant think of it if there already is one... Any Given Sunday was stoopid.

It's already garbage.
Denis Leary as the former Dallas coach who talks about how "they win." I know this movie is fiction, but for ****'s sake, at least TRY to make it believable. |

Other good NFL movie is Invincible. But you're right... for some reason, not a ton of great NFL movies out there. Most good ones are either high school or college level. |

Another good call on Invincible, i'd forgotten that one, not bad at all... in simple terms it was kinda Rocky meets pro football, i enjoyed it for sure. |
Any Given Sunday probably pissed the NFL off for being too real.
