Chiefs have let go three area scouts

Area scouts Jay Muraco, Ryan Kessenich and Aundrae Harris did not have their contracts re-signed by John Dorsey and the Kansas City Chiefs. Will be interesting to see who the Chiefs bring in as the new area scouts?

No need to hire anybody. Clark can save money with a PFF account. Oh wait. Scouts. Walterfootball will do

If only you were more passive aggressive and pretended like you didn't have an opinion until after the draft.

No seriously. How do you know what kind of a job they did? Their job is to evaluate players and pass that info on to someone else to make the drafting decision. Who was drafted isn't necessarily a reflection of the scouts.

Therefore your question is irrelevant.

they were fired for their excellence?

we're 2-14, with the #1 pick in the draft, and a draft history so embarrassing it makes Matt Millen look sane

but you think it would be worse if someone else were responsible, I'd like to know how that is possible...it's a simple question (with a simple answer..."it's not")

Who selected the players? Was it the scouts or *****?

Regardless of whom you believe to be responsible, I'm not going to debate how great you and others on this board think they are at evaluating football players.

philfree 05-03-2013 05:58 PM

So these guys were Pioli hires? Dorsey probably just wants his own guys. Maybe.

He could hire you and a few of your fellow ****** who think they know more than NFL GM's. Then and only then we could say, "How could we be any worse?"

MahiMike 05-03-2013 06:52 PM

That's kinda interesting. Was there predictions totally off on the prospects? Then again, how can we know yet?

HonestChieffan 05-03-2013 06:55 PM

Imagine being the poor schmoe assigned to find the kid we want from MU. Doom

Chiefaholic 05-03-2013 07:15 PM

What it boils down to is Dorsey wants his own guys who know the system he wants to put in place. Dorsey's draft is over and it doesn't make sense to keep scouts around from the previous regime.

After this disaster of a draft someone needs to pay the price.

No matter how bad the scouting is what makes you sign off on a 5th fb and a dude from Princeton to solve pass rusher hole?

Sooooo...51 and you haven't learned/ackowledged the absolute need to draft a first round QB over every other stupid position in order for this franchise to stop being futile. I'm sorry; you say CLAY is the "stupid one"? Okee-day, then.

Not at all. Life is better at 51 than in your 20s or 30s. Studies have shown people are happier. Better jobs, more money, more of the wisdom that comes with experience, lots of reasons. I wouldn't go back to your age.

I haven't acknowledged it because it isn't true. As 31 of 32 teams showed in the draft. It is simplistic to think that you should only draft "playmakers" early. The professionals don't agree with the CP collective "wisdom" on this subject. 8 of the first 10 picks were linemen.

Besides, we HAVE a first round QB. You just don't like him.

We have a first round castoff that was nowhere near first round value
