You may not like Fisher as the pick...
...but he looks like a man among boys at the draft.

don't like it, but if they're going OT I like him over Joker

On 810 KK asks Clark Hunt if it's Fisher. Hunt says "I don't know what you're talking about" and starts laughing. Well then |

Gonna be a lot of Joeckel trolling over the years

Par for the course. |
Note that I picked him two months ago. Everyone here needs to bow to me.
And by the way , Charles is gonna have a year for the record books , especially with this pick. Our line will ****ing DOMINATE either way we want to run. I'm stoked with the pick. We REALLY need to sign Albert long term NOW ! |
Can't go wrong with big mean and nasty!!!

I also prefer Fischer. It's not sexy, however, he is kind of a god looking kid. I'm a girl, I can say that;-)

Did Fisher have the luxury of protecting a mobile QB like the other guy did?

**** Fisher Reid and Dorsey

This guy is going to be our LT for the next decade. If he lives up to his potential that is a fine selection.
This pick will be judged only by Fisher or Joeckel, who turns out to be the better pro. |
I like it. BPA. Fisher=That
|
It's going to be awesome when we let him walk in 5 years after trading for Scott Tolzien

I don't know who tagged this thread with CMU tartans, but as that was my alma mater, that might be the only joy I'm going to get out of draft day. Thank you good sir/ma'am/etc.
Anybody have one of those pamphlets that say, "So your team drafted a RT with the first overall pick..." |

Per Ian Rapoport
And it's Eric Fisher for the*#Chiefs at No. 1. His goal was to be No. 1 pick. I asked next goal: "Pro Bowl as a rookie." OK then |
I like this pick a lot.

I don't like the Fisher pick, could have been worse with Joekel but still don't like this pick.
Not going be happy until we draft a QBotf with a top round pick. Hope for the best that he doesn't become a bust but take a chance on a young prospect anyways. See if we can get BOOM out of him. I will start rooting for Fisher on my own time after I get over the butthurt of not drafting a QB 1.1 I really hope he is a good player for a long time and can hold ground when we/if we ever do take a QBotf with a top draft pick. Next year? |

That is ****ing dumb. I want the Chiefs to try and pick a winner. If they don't try then the odds are they wont ever pick a winner. **** your Alex Smith and the rest of the retread quarterbacks. I will have to wait another year to see if the Chiefs will grow a set of balls to draft a QBotf prospect in the first round of the draft. |
Oh Wow..
Mark Long of the Associated Press reports the Jaguars have no intention of getting a qb in round 2. He will probably go to the Raiders IMO but Ive been wrong so many times. |
I love the pick. Albert is gone one way or the other. Fisher is a freaking wall. He reminds me of a larger version of John Alt...and much more athletic than Alt. I think he is going to be terrific in time.

The whole "small school" thing is bullshit. Even if he played against weaker competition in college, the talent was evident and showed when you watched him play. He'll get caught up to the pro level relatively quickly with having to go against Houston and Hali everyday in practice.

Much happier this morning than I've been the last two years after the first round. This young man is a good start for this regime. I trust Dorsey to nail the remainder of this draft.

:thumb: Best pick we could have made in this draft reminds me of Alt too and that ain't bad. |

From what I have seen of Dorsey and the new brain trust at Arrowhead. I have much more faith in this organization than I have in A LONG time. I think the word you used "trust" is a very accurate description. From what I have seen, I have no doubt this franchise is in a much better place with much better leadership than what we have seen in many MANY years. |
Several years ago I posted stats on SB winning QBs and their blindside tackles. Most of the QBs that are considered great had a T drafted the year before or the same year the QB was drafted. Brady benefited from a T drafted to protect Bledsoe. A solid line that gives its QB extra time in the pocket makes the QB better, the WR better, and hopefully the team better.
